What do you do as ADC when you lose your turret and enemy grouping mid

If I go with them, I get absolutely zero gold because they're all using high base damage abilities or aoe stuff and take all the cs.

If I go bot, I have to go alone obviously, since if someone came with me they'd just take the cs. But if I go alone, my team will start a 4v5 fight, get wrecked, and then type in chat "why our adc in bot lane". Or I get assassinated because I'm overextended by default.

ADC has gotta be the least fun role, if you're not up to snuff with the items you can't do crap. Even an underperforming mid laner or top bruiser can always delete someone...ADC nope can't even kill the support if behind.

You just need more practice and experience with ADC. I really understand. I felt the same way when i started out ADCing i hated it it, but i grinded through all the practice and games and i can say im at least a decent one now, and love taking the role with alacrity.

To answer your question though if youre really behind on farm and levels then the priority should be you catching up and hoping your teammates can and will turtle and defend as best they can on their own, to create space for you to freeze the wave and farm a few waves, and hit your power spikes. If your team is failing to defend and turtle under the turret properly, and the enemy is getting damage on your T2, that would be the call for you to assist no matter how far behind you are. Defend the turret and go right back to farming and pushing when its safe, and rotating lanes after every few waves if needed.

If however you have a team that is just hellbent on death matching with every bad engage they take, you're damned no matter what you do. If your team can't turtle, cant initiate properly, cant maintain vision and objective control, then there's nothing that you as an individual can do no matter what situation you're in. There have been countless games where I've completely outfarmed everyone in the game, but we still lose, because the team as a unit is not working together, let alone working with the ADC they demand be good.

This is in my own words of course.

Push your lane once or twice then go mid or top.

I'm having a hard time with this question because being behind in my opinion may not be the same as behind in your opinion.

If you mean you are a partial item down, maybe a zeal behind then you are obligated to group with your team, under turret the pressure and dmg provided by turret shots more than make up for your dmg deficit. If you are talking a full item behind or better, then chances are it wouldn't matter much either way. I would still advise following your team though, on the off chance the stars align and you collect enough gold to close the gap in a sweeping fight.

A lot of this can be avoided simply by making sure you are csing and warding out gank paths. Usually you want to avoid being in a position where you are so far behind you HAVE to farm to stay relevant.

Woah, adc might not fun for you but its definitely fun for the rest of us that main adc and love it. Now onward to your question:

When you lose your turret at bot lane, you have to ask yourself a couple of questions.

  1. Is the enemy bot turret up? If yes, then push bot and take the turret. Obviously, watch your minimap and beware of any MIAs. If the enemy team that was just mid is now missing on the map, assume they're coming bottom and back off the turret. If no, then you still may want to go to bot lane or another lane where you can safely farm depending on how strong you are. Read further to my next point for more details.

  2. If you go mid to defend the turret, are you going to be able to do anything ?

Yes? then go. Don't blow your teammates and that turret off just so you can farm. Consider what ADC you're playing. If you're playing an ADC caster , you're still useful to your team in the early game if you have your ult. If you're playing an ADC that is more dependent on items to deal dmg like vayne or twitch, then you're better off farming until you get 2 major items completed. No? then go push out and farm another lane. Theres no point in going mid if you're not getting anything accomplished.
