Which 4800IP Champ is Best for Top Lane? Pls Advise

I'm looking to possibly hop on board with ranked soon but I'm looking for a top lane champion to main that's within the bracket of 4800IP and down. I was debating on Irelia or Renekton because they are both really strong picks right now and generally fun to play, but with Irelia nerfs coming around 5.6 I wasn't sure if she'd be a good pick. Any speculation on who I should buy and why? Some tips and tricks for common top lane match-ups would be great too! (:

Irelia is solid, and her "nerf" is just a slap on the wrist, it doesn't do much to her at all.

I've had success moving quickly through lower elo (i.e. Bronze) with Tryndamere . He is easy to play, and even if you lose lane, you can generally just split push to victory. A key characteristic of lower elo is poor map awareness, and Trynd is perhaps the best way to exploit this.

Renekton is the exact opposite of his brother. He pretty much always wins lane, but late game he does nothing at all. And in low elo where people don't know how to close-out games quick, being Renekton late game is going to happen far more than you would like.

Irelia is a strong pick with an excellent late game, but keep in mind she is getting nerfed next patch.

Riven Riven is so easy to get fed early game, and it just takes 1-2 kills for her to be "fed"

If you manage to get the first few kills in your lane, you are most likely going to win it IMO

go JarvanIV. ez top lane, still strong even if u go full tank, mastering how and when to ult with him is something that really few ppl know(we have even seen lcs players fuck dat ult up),really helpful in teamfights, and his a prince what more do u want?

Wukong is actually a pretty good choice. He's good against lane bullies once you learn him. I can brag a decent Darius and I could not get my hands on Wukong at all. He would charge in Q then Decoy out before I could even pull. Plus he's a good Bruiser or outright tank, and his ult makes him dangerous in teamfights. Plus he is fun to use in custom Hide and Seek modes and just overall.

If you want to main a top lane champ for ranked, take some things into mind. If they are always on the nerf/buff train, they probably aren't worth maining (new champs mostly). If they are really only considered strong at certain points in the game, then maybe you want somebody relevant throughout the whole game. You also have to know if they are getting banned left and right due to how strong they are. For instance, Irelia has a pick of 14% but a banrate of 37%. What's the point of maining a champ (or even learning the champ) if you can't play them 1/3 of all games. With all of these things in mind and considering how strong certain champs are right now, I would recommend MonkeyKing. He has a decent early game to snowball you, but has an amazing mid game so even if you don't do much early you can easily come back with roams and teamfights.
