Yasuo :: Indirectly & Directly Nerfed, in Dire Need of Compensation ::

Yasuo Yasuo, the Unforgiven (by his old friends, and apparently Rito) With the extensive changes to items this season, I felt it was no surprise that Infinity Edge and Statikk Shiv were in the scope. I feel as Yasuo could have lived through the change of some crit on those items transfering to Phantom Dancer with a slight hit to his late game scaling, but due to the overwhelming mobility creep (and annoyance of said creep) he had a pretty high ban rate. So, sensibly, Riot had to do something. Nerfing his Q cooldown was where they threw the next stone, ultimately hammering in Yasuo's final resting place.

EDIT: To clarify, I feel like the Q change (4 seconds at all ranks) was a reasonable nerf PRE-Shiv and IE nerfs

Taking a look at Yasuo's place post-nerf and comparing it with where he is now, he has fallen from Tier 1 to Tier 4 (With AP Lulu above him and AP Sona right behind him)! Yasuo is one of my favorite champions and I don't want to imagine a season where he falls out of the 'scope' of viable picks. His sleek and fast-paced playstyle is the most rewarding thing I could want from a game on SR. All I'm asking is that Yasuo, at least, remains on the radar for the Balance Team. I've already thought of some changes that would be nice to throw around tentatively on PBE:

  1. Buffing Wind Wall

At the moment Wind Wall has a whopping 26 second cooldown, not allowing for much counterplay against a heavily skillshot oriented lane such as Ahri or Lux

  1. Reverting the changes on Q's cooldown, lowering damage slightly on the first couple of skill points put into it, and buffing E's magic damage while removing the increased damage with each cast (so we don't have to deal with the lv1 E cheese again)
  2. Buffing Q damage by 5-7

Edit 2: Seems like the community isn't actually reading the changes and offering solutions, just QQing in comments because mobility is considered 'overloaded'.. which is the exact reason he was nerfed

His Q cooldown was buffed, actually. And honestly, I think Yasuo is in a really interesting spot. He's incredibly strong when mastered, but incredibly weak until then. He's very high risk, high reward. The problem with Yasuo is that when he's strong, he's too strong. When he's weak, he's hardly viable. The balance team has had their hands full when it comes down to him, but I think they're just gonna leave him be.

I think he should be compensated like Veigar was compensated.

Fuck Yasuo. Champs with overloaded kits once gutted should stay there till reworked.

One can only hope LeeSin follows suit.

Yasuo is in a pretty good place right now as a champ, although i mean he got a slight nerf if you are skilled with him you can pretty much beat a lot of champs. He is strong, and I like where he is at the moment.

Yasuo is fine. Considering he has some wind wall that hard counters tons of good abilities, he just has to be low tier to be balanced. Because of the much more powerful he is against opponents that use abilities that he can block, he should just a niche pick that's only picked against those teams. Otherwise he's way OP against those kinds of teams.
