Relic Shield on ADC?

Is a Relic Shield start with on a traditional ADC (i.e. anyone not Morde) a viable start (or can it situationally be a viable start)?

Obviously, the pro is that it greatly increases the early income of the support. However, it requires an ADC to spend 365 gold (minus the eventual sell value of 146 gold) on an item that has no benefit to them. It leaves them weaker in early (pre BF? or at least first full item) all-ins, and the lack of Doran's 3% life steal removes a lot of ambient healing (although an early Vamp Scepter could compensate).

I could see it working in low-tempo farm lanes with low pressure junglers, or in a 2 v 1 lane swap scenario in pro play (though missing the AD from a Doran's might mess up a fast push).

Is there anything I'm missing? What are your thoughts?

Not worth it. You don't get to abuse it to push faster, it scales with your max hp so you don't get as much healing, and you don't gaf about your supports income.

It does give a little bit of health sustain to both.

I feel like that could work. The sustain from relic shield is pretty big plus the extra potions would be an advantage early game. The lack of ad would hurt though.
