Tank Junglers

Anybody got any tips or tricks for tank junglers?

My main tank junglers are Malphite, Alistar, Cho'Gath, and Shen.

I am particularly looking to speed up clear times and define a route. Any tips you guys have on ganking would be helpful as well.

Shen and Alistar don't do well in the new jungle, they are better off top and support respectively.

Malphite - Mainly I start with W and start with the blue camp. Then I continue to kill other usual camps til I reached level 3. Usually after 4 camps, I tend to b since I'm low on health. By on that time, I will have to start ganks. Open ganks to those who seems to get pushed back. I max W & Q on 50-50 chance, while maxing E last, or take two points before maxing WQ.

Alistar - I really don't recommend taking Alistar jungle, his clear time has been reduced/nerfed intentionally by Riot since they really need to fix Alistar as a support. If I am that stubbornly persistent, I would start with Q, start at blue camp, then do the usual Malphite route. I max Q first, take 2 points in E, and max W last. To master Alistar, you need to master that mini-Malphite ult with the WQ combo.

Chogath - Same Malphite route. It's best to stack up your HP stacks by ulting on monsters, instead of saving up for champions. There's a chance you can complete two buffs camps before your first recall, thanks to your passive sustain. I max either E for faster jungle clears, or W for improved CC ganking. I leave Q to max last, since leveling up will only improve the damage, not the CC.

Shen - For this guy, I'm not completely sure. His jungle clears is pretty slow, although almost has great sustain as Warwick. I think for Shen, I would start with either the Krugs or Red buff, since you use energy anyway. Gank a pushed lane whenever if your HP is big enough to resist counter-ganks. I take about 2 points for Q, and max W for bigger shield defense. Of course, max E last. I mean, look at that 100 energy usage omg lol. As a Shen player, ALWAYS be on guard of your allies' HP after level 6 for you to ult.

Shen - start Red with a decent leash, then gank mid if possible. Then go to wolves, blue, then gromp. If your health allows, go gank top or just get scuttle crab and recall for jungle item. Just had an awesome ranked game as jungle Shen. My build is different than a normal shen build, but I had 2k on my first back so I decided to get some damage after sunfire.

If you really want to, you can go blue, to wolves then red. Recall for purple smite, then go solo drag. Just keep mashing your Q and W so you get the heals and reduced the cd on Ki strike and you can come out of a solo drag at roughly 70% hp, which is enough to gank bot or mid :D

Alistar The S5 changes really brought him back. item 3713 solves his slow early clear. Then switch to either item 3715 or item 3706

He has enough sustain compared to other junglers, that he always ganks at full health. I've gone so far now to switch to scaling armor flat AP and Hybrid penetration, as well as 21/9/0 masteries, because the jungle just can't hurt him.

He needs to gank at level three and keep ganking, just throw the enemy into tower and nail them down.

Rush item 3056 to gank pushed lanes, or item 3025 for better clear and slow.
