Hi! My last thread helped a lot in finding a champion to get me into the midlane, they were all exceptional ideas. After playing a little I found that I play more passively in the laning phase then become very team-fight oriented. My guide into the Midlane was Orianna, and I was wondering what champions are also good for passive players, no matter the difficulty. I am considering Syndra based off of her kit, and possibly Malzahar. I find that being an assassin midlaner doesn't work well where I am Elo wise. Now here comes the big question. I just reached 30, and started playing my Placement games and am current 3-4, and was wonder where you think I may place. I will probably end up 5-5 or 6-4 I have been doing really well and have had a friend help me in some of the games. I have played a combination of Midlane and Top lane. One loss I had an amazing KDA, and did really well but my team failed.

So first of all individual performance doesn't actually matter in terms of ranking, its all based on your w/l record. You'll probably end up somewhere between bronze 3 to silver 3 but it highly depends on the level of players your vs. the higher their rank the higher your rank will be. That being said if your duo with someone it can often mess with the mmr of your team and the enemy's so you cant always base it on that. In terms of champs that function similarly to orianna i would suggest Azir, Ziggs, Viktor and Malzahar. All of these champions have kits where they can do really well in team fights and play passive in lane.
