What is the purpose of blue essence after you have all of the champions unlocked if there is one at all? I just unlocked my very last champion which was Katarina. Can I expect to see some sort of use for it in the near future if at all?

Yeah, you can use it to unlock mastery levels 6 and 7 for your champions once that feature unlocks!
potentially champion mastery... yep so no real use at all :D just save 3 champion shards then you dont need to use ip for new champs... but then again doing this you stock up ip so you wont need to do this... umm... but it helps people sort out the "i will never own every champ" problem which is nice but the fact they made it so limited. (1 box a week) is simply outrageous it should be given as a ration to games like 1:10 so someone who plays 10 games a week gets 1 box but someone who playes more 100 gets 10
