Make me a better supp

So I'm an awful Bronze 4 player but I think, if I learn support really well, I will move up quickly given how few people play that role at a low elo, I'd be able to play it most games and also the enemy supp will probably be a #salty top/mid main who doesn't even want to play that role.

I'd like to get say to gold within 1 season, even if it's the next season.

I understand the idea behind putting your CC on a low defense, high damage target, I understand the idea of peeling for your own squishies, but I just do not 'get it'

  1. Learn how to itemize your support properly. Always depends on who you're playing but make sure you're actually buying the right items, just look up a guide to make sure. Don't just stick to a set build path though, make sure you're buying items in the order you need them the most. Get a sightstone, finish your support item, then buy whatever items will help you against their team the most.

  2. Make sure you're playing the right type of support for the situation. For example, if the other team has more assassin/burst type champions, then it would probably be better to play a tanky support like Leona or someone that's really good at peeling and disengaging like Janna, as opposed to picking someone like Sona/Soraka who don't do well against teams with a lot of burst.

  3. ** Know where to ward and PAY ATTENTION TO THE MAP.** It's important to know good ward spots, but its twice as important to actually pay attention to where enemies are on the map. It's really important for YOU to pay attention to where everyone is since your carry is focusing on farming. Just glance at the mini-map every now and then and ask yourself, "Where was the last place I saw the enemy jungler? Is their mid laner roaming a lot? Where is our jungler?" Stuff like that.

  4. Focus the right targets. Fed as hell > Healers > Assassins > Carries > Fighters > Tanks (First two may swap places depending on the situation)

i'd say that if you're bronze 4 and honestly trying to win then typically your problem is a lack of experience/practice more than anything else, you'll get there if you keep playing. As for peeling i'd say choose the most fed person on your team and stick close to them, keeping any enemies that get near off of them. If you keep practicing silver should be no problem for you next season and even gold if you stick to it.

Click my name, go to my posts, and find my support post. I explained how I went from b2-p5 in one season with what champs and how to play them. B4-g1 is basically the same scenario and you will have to play a lot of games to get there no matter what role you play.

I would recommend downloading and using BaronReplays to review games. https://ahri.tw/en/

You can look at things like where you could have warded for better information, where the other team warded, if you missed opportunities to make aggressive moves in lane, if you could have peeled better if you positioned differently in team fights, and above all if your team could have got objectives but did not go for it / failed to push minions to be ready when they could have.

I also suggest duoing with someone who plays ADC. Being with someone you trust helps both positions greatly even outside of lane. Use a voice chat program to better coordinate with them.
