I want to try jungling, but I already have Elise, who I need more practice with, but I want to get Shyvana because of her ulti's engage. I would rather get Shyvana because she is manaless, but I've heard and seen that Elise is strong as a jungler. Any suggestions?

As much as it pains me to say it, Elise is in a pretty shitty spot right now. I'm pretty sure that Riot's nerfed literally every ability she has by now, and the ancient golem changes really sucked for her. Maybe the preseason changes will help bring her back a bit, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Also, I personally expect Shyv to be a pretty top tier jungler if the current PBE changes make it to live. So, I'd suggest focusing more on her.
