Best Mid-Lane Champs

Any suggestions for the top current mid-lane champions that are fairly easy to master yet op at the same time; or just good mid-lane champs overall.

I'd recommend taking Talon Azir Yasuo

These champs are self carries and don't require much of a team to carry.

I recommend Lissandra, ill tell u in detail why

Lissandra is a semi burst mage that has some mobility and good "suppression" with a great initiate.

Q - her q is a projectile that shoots out and hits all targets This is prolly the second hardest ability to learn to use correctly since the range is erratic. If u hit an enemy or neutral, the width gets a little wider and the range increases.

W - Basic aoe binding that increases in rank, pretty decent range. Not the longest binding though.

E - Her is a gap closer or disengage. Its pretty easy to use and is good for pushing without risk and escaping ganks.

R - Her ult is her suppression ability. Can make herself invulnerable and deal aoe dmg around her for 2.5 sec or do that same to an enemy for 1.5 sec. This can hard to use correctly but if used correctly can get u a 5 sec invulnerable (with zhonyas).

Basic Combo -

Poke - Q

Short range poke - W, Q

Disengage - W, E, Q, E

Engage - E, E, W/R Q W/R Q

Hard Disengage - E, R, W, Q, E

Initiating fight - E, E, W/R, Q/R, R, W/Q/Zhonyas, W/Q/Zhonyas, Zhonyas

Wow, made that alot more complex than needed to b, lol Friend me if u want to know more on Lissandra.

Meta and easy to learn?

Ezreal Fizz Lulu Varus Ahri

just about the only ones that come to mind, really.

Leblanc seems pretty sick. I wouldn't say she's easy to master (from what I read, she has an insane skillcap), but even a small amount of proficiency seems to be enough to give most solo-Q mid-laners some serious trouble.

Ahri I see a lot of her, but not necessarily successful. Heimerdinger gets banned sometimes, but he's easy to learn and can push mid-lane easily in lower elo's. Ziggs works well, and as long as you can manage your mana you're good to go. He gets a crazy Q poke, an AOE slow, and some very flexible movement options (plus a super-nice Ult).
Fizz is powerful, but I wouldn't consider him easy-to-learn since some match-ups require a good amount of champ knowledge - when it's safe to all-in, cooldowns, and which spells you should trickster your way out of.

Heimerdinger is strong and easy to play, but at later ranks, people can counter play him pretty well. Katarina and Akali are pretty easy to use assassins, but would take some practice to get used to the all in play style, but are good if you want bursty champs. Malzahar has high damage and a really nice ult, but he has low mobility, so he has to be careful of not pushing to far in case of a gank. My personal favorite is Diana, but she is expensive and more difficult to use than other assassin/fighter mid laners, but she's a lot of fun.
