Who's a good all-around mid?

Right now I'm thinking Zed, LeBlanc, Ahri, or Swain. I just want one midlaner who isn't mega-high ban priority and can go into pretty much any lane matchup without too much worry. I'm trying for Plat this season (Gold last season, Silver the one before), and I'd like to take one midlaner and master them so I can easily put myself in a position to carry in most games. I'm already extremely comfortable on Jax, Wukong, Caitlyn, and Leona, but obviously I'm going to have to mid sometimes so I want there to be someone I'm strong on for when that happens. I feel like Zed is likely the champion with the fewest difficult mid matchups, but I have reservations about my only good mid being a physical damage dealer.

So yeah, any advice or tips would be real nice c:

im not much of mid lanner but what I do understand about mid lane is that it has 2 types. the continues dmg wave clear, or the dmg burst combo that kills instant. depending on ur team comp. if ur team lack pushers for the side lane. ur better off having a mid lane rush burst combo champ. group, rush kills and push mid to win. but if ur team can push side lanes. then ur better off playing wave clear continues dmg type. mid lane is a defensive lane imo. meaning you don't need 5 people to defend a mid lane. 3-4 will do for the first 30ish min of game. as in 3-4 defend against 5 people. and the 1 extra person can get an objective by pushing side lanes. a side lane = half map control. so which champ to master? both types. ones with wave clear like ahri, ziggs, brand etc and burst combo akali, kat, lb etc. zed can do both I think.

If you really want to main a mid laner make it Ahri. + she got so many un needed buffs because of DFG removal that she's pretty stupid powerful now.
