I am not an ADC main, but I play plenty.

TBH, what I do is to attack whoever I can, regardless of how much damage I put onto them, and survive.

I realized that if I survive longer than the enemy tanks and survive the enemy assassins, I can clean up the house :)

Flat MR runes, 21/9/0 masteries, dmg runes.

Farm, farm, farm. Last hit the hell out of everything and aim for 100 cs by the 15 minute mark. Enemy leonas will try to come to your canon minions to get the cs so use your abilities to scare them off.

More than anything you want to pull the fighting close to your own tower without missing a single cs so that the jungler is in optimal conditions to set up a gank.

As an adc, you have to be a frenetic mouse clicker. Do this to keep your enemy guessing AND stay within shooting distance of your next last hit.

Stay BEHIND your minions and don't let Alistar/ Blitz flank you with your back to the wall.

Finally, when attacking heroes, you want to attack then move then attack again to cancel the attack cooldown animation so that you can sneak in 1 additional attack.

Hi, I'm Support and ADC main playing mainly these two roles.

low ELO peel

No. Peels do not exist in low ELO. Well, unless you're my ADC. But if you're shit, you don't deserve peels. Remember, there's no peel in low ELO. Therefore Caitlyn is trash tier. Yes, I'm biased.

Play Graves - lane bully, strong mid game, power spike @ level 3 and 6 and BF sword. Decent mobility as well. That's a really quick power spike. Great burst, can shut down enemy laner easily. He falls off late game, so I don't really like him.

Play Tristana - easy, high mobilty, self peel, long range @ level 18. She's easy to play, I don't see much strength in her. Like she's shit after rework. Disgusting. The only thing I see in her is her reset jumps and self peel. Oh, and she has high burst at level 6. Fight when you're 6.

Best thing I can say is that it's a big change when your playing with a partner. (for the record, Support/ADC main) Everyone will be quick to tell you the fundamentals of ADC-playing, but what really makes a good bot lane is working well together with your support. Cait is awesome for soloQ, there are many, many players who have worked their way up to diamond with her. The trick is playing carefully and not committing to anything until you trust your support.

Duos generally have a 'focus' target when harassing or initiating an attack. Sometimes its the ADC, sometimes its the support, it really depends on who is playing who. If you are NOT the focus target, remember to attack and use abilities on your opponents without reserve, if you run while they score free damage on your partner, the lane is over, your trust is damaged, and things generally will go downhill from there.

adc is kinda a passive role, they really shouldn't be starting fights unless they have a guaranteed kill. in lane you should focus on last hitting and harass and waiting for cc from your support or if you're jungler is incoming to gank. Best champs to learn adc are Cait, lucian, and Graves, they have fair safety and strong laning phases however practicing with ashe helps with cs. Stay in the back at all times in teamfights and watch for assassin ganks.

  1. try to outfarm and outtrade your opponent.
  2. plan ahead in builds (lw for armor, blade for health and jungle objectives, GA against assassins, runanns/statick for waveclear. bloodthirster if you need to tank duel, ie for overall damage)
  3. stick with a front line champ for peel or your assassin for ganking and make plays.

Step one: Right click.

Step Two: Don't die.

If you can manage these two things, you have mastered playing as an adc.

Honestly barely anyone here will be able to tell you anything that a video wont tell you in a more well informed way. Especially at this hour. That being said, my advice since you are more comfortable in top/jg. Pick up Kennen. He'll teach you positioning in the top lane that will later help you with your positioning as an adc. Otherwise I'd look up adc tips on ytube. You'll probably find more helpful advice.

pro tip: get the bloodthirster first, then get a shoe, then get infinity edge, then get statik shiv, then get essence reaver or the green sword thing that gives you magic reseist, then get whatever
