I'm a bad support main and I'm stuck in Silver V.

^.

I was Bronze at some point. I climbed out of Bronze by spamming Nami games. I got so hyped I thought that "yessss I'll be gold really soon just youuu waiiitt". Yea, sure. I couldn't even win a promo to Silver IV (three times already). I'm sure af going to get to gold really soon. It's not like I'm over here telling you guys about "rofl laz game me junglar so bed no genk i got camped top gg"... I know I'm bad, okay... I'm trying to spam as much Nami games as possible right now in Normals, though. I want to make her my main, despite my minor commitment issues.

Since I main support (Nami), I prefer to play support in every ranked game. I don't have the confidence to win when I play other lanes, like mid, top, ad. I can't play jungle, so never mind. I know I won't always get my desired role, but I don't feel like I can win playing other roles. I know that even if my AD is trash, I am the trashcan. Trashcans carry trashes, so that's that.

I also have a problem of not directing stating my problem while creating a thread too, and I apologize. Conclusion/TL;DR: I main support, and I don't have the confidence to win lane/game when I play other lanes (esp ADC, since the lane's "verdict" depends on ur support. Bad support = lose lane. worse, lose game). Stuck in Silver V because of that. And also, if I'm first pick should I let "we is duo bot chellngar smerf in KR server" to play bot lane, or should I just pick support? It seems BM to "take their role" in my ELO, though. I'm just gonna spam Nami games and see if it's helping or not.

Thanks.

That's rough. I'm a silver adc main, but sometimes I'm stuck supporting - and unfortunately even if you're playing out of your mind, landing all the bubbles, if the ADC doesn't follow up then you're kind of screwed.

Unfortunately there is adc's like that at this elo.

You might want to try a carry support like Zyra or Sona , someone who has enough damage that they can 1v2 the lane - that way if you get stuck with a super passive adc you can still win the lane.

Sona's been my main bitch lately because of her ridiculous damage, but I have a friend who's a zyra support main and she actually does MORE damage than sona, she's just harder to use and more skillshot dependent, but if you master her Zyra's the strongest AP poke support in the game.

To be honest if you insist on supporting at low elo your progress will be hard to measure unless you suddenly start playing on a whole 'nother level.

Number one thing you can do as a support to start playing on a whole 'nother level is to learn to abuse the enemy ADC. Generally any damage and kills onto the enemy AD is more than twice as valuable than on their support. Good poke supports I'd recommend for this purpose include Karma/Zyra/Vel'Koz/Sona. Those are all high damage as supports. I personally prefer my poke support champs, however I imagine they're especially useful at lower elos since they do not necessarily require follow up by other players to function. If you do good you will get kills/assist and be able to afford AP and continue to assist with damage the entire game.

The next best tip I have is to not die. Really. It does make a difference if the enemy champions can't obtain any gold from killing you at all.

Next is to warding properly of course... but I'm sure you know... I suggest you rebind ping as quickping too. This way it is even easier to alert your team to danger, it really makes a difference sometimes.

Also if I were you playing support in a low level I would start each lane by helping your AD push the first wave. Try to get level two first and abuse the fact you're two and trade with them. Don't push the first wave so fast they can retreat to turret and farm for free though (if they're smart). Just push slightly harder than the enemy is.

I really recommend you try more and more supports instead of spamming the same ones too. If you don't like them that's okay, at least now you know. Alistar is a really amazing underrated support, cheap too. He isn't poke but he can really punish the enemy if they misstep and make great plays and saves.

I also suggest you don't give up on other roles especially if there are other kinds of champs you like to play.

I'm a decent Nami. I'm also S3, unranked MMR pulling mid to High golds normally. (lazy in ranked!).

If you want to add me, do so, be glad to do some customs with you and help out. I also have a gold 5 nami main as a friend... she might even be better able to assist you.

Either way, add me if you like.

I think its really good to learn every role, not only do you not get stuck in positions that you are unfamiliar with, but you can also fill and play when other people don't want to play a role. Play normals, and mess around with champions for each lane that you find enjoyable, doesn't really matter if you do bad because its normals.

I'll make this short and because there is so much and no way to properly tell you everything. I'm a Plat 5 Support main (Just got It!!!!!) and I'm also a new streamer. If you would be able to stop by I'll tell you everything I know about supporting and show you in game examples of ways to improve. I've carried myself to Plat being a Support main and swapping secondary roles.

http://www.twitch.tv/onegarion is my twitch account. If you have time and I"m not on watch some of the recent games. I tend to add a little commentary on what I did wrong so you can tell where to improve. I hope to see you come by. Support mains are the best after all.

Yea if you're behind, keep farming, even if you lose your tower. But make sure you have ward coverage. I main botlane (both AD and supp)-- add me and let's play some! Btw, in silver and bronze, never trust people who call ADCs. In my first ranked provisional matches I started off by playing support but it was the most frustrating thing watching ADCs miss farm, get harrassed without harrassing back, and dying stupid deaths. I'd strongly recommend you learn ADC until you climb higher.

I'm only Silver II, but a thing I still need to work on is screening for my adc. When we are ahead and I can all-in and chase people, I play really well, but against a comp that requires I screen and peel, I suffer.

Ways to do this as Nami are literally standing on top of your adc or very near, and landing your bubbles when the assassins and bruisers come a knockin'. That bit of CC when they are trying to unleash their combo usually means your adc can maneuver to safety and blow them up. Make sure you're using your abilities (as stupid as that sounds to say). Put E on your adc just before a fight's about to start, for example.

Every time I see "duo bot with ----", I'm dodging. Let me be honest; I have never had a game where the "duo bot pliz"ers haven't fed the other team's ADC to hell. You'd be better off just dodging instead of getting two reports to the face when you take their feeding grounds.

I just wrote 2 huge ass paragraphs and backspaced by accident fml. So I'll sum it up for you

-Land her bubbles, it's key, so learn to predict where your enemy is going. -Use e for engages, chases or fights on adc as he deals additional damage and it slows the enemy. -Use ult for engage for jg or helping to secure the kill. -An ult and bubble follow up is amazing try it. -Depends on what you unlock first. If your team wants to invade, go with q. -Build depending on how the game is going and use your active abilities on your items when needed. -Learn other roles, tell your self you are forbidden to go back to ranked until then, don't always expect to get support. -Pick nami based on team comp, if you don't have a tanky team I suggest a tanky support. -Never pick nami against morg, it's all based on skill at this point but with her shield and your bubble...you could try to bait her shield before going all in but...Idk
