What makes an excellent Ryze top lane?
I need some specifics to play a skilled Ryze top, in terms of runes/masteries/in-game plays, whatever you guys can fill me in. Very highly appreciated.

you just have to faceroll as fast as you can in late game
early game just stack everything up, dont worry you will stomp later with your op shield
i really really recommend you don't.

I use Health Seals ap Marks and Quints and 10% glyphs. 4 Points in offense or so for the CDR, put the rest in utility tree to max out mana , cdr, and spellvamp. But doran's ring and play patiently, buy a Tear Drop , then build RoA. From there, build accordingly to what you need to win the lane and the game based on enemy and your own team comp. Just remember, runes will give you 10% cdr, masteries another 10%, so you should only buy 1 CDR item, and all you need is 10%. The rest is mana, ap, BV. ZHG, tankyness. Basically put anything on you need if it has mana and if you need it badly if it doesn't.
I played him before and after, but I perform much better after his re work. I think it's just a personal thing, but for me, he's just a gigantic bully.
I think Ryze should go back to mid with these changes I have too easy of a time bullying him top lane.
The new ryze pretty sucky currently so I'd wait for the next patch to see what will happen to him.
