How to push advantages when winning lane as a non-carry champion?

Basically, I won lane against the enemy Cho'Gath in a mirror match, and because I was with friends, I thought it'd be stupid/funny to build both of the minion items item 3512 item 3060 since I knew the enemy Cho'Gath was not a threat anymore to straight up kill me any time soon. Long story short, what really ended up getting my attention was despite me going a Tank based build (and to a certain extent, trolling), I was doing a surprisingly good job at controlling objectives. Between me accidentally taking Smite (oops), Cho'Gath's ult, and the duo lane pushing items I bought, along with me just generally being there whenever we push an objective, we ended up just steamrolling through all the towers and dragons. Entertainingly, of the 11 towers we took, 5 of them I'm 90% sure were taken entirely by either me or my minions. I was able to take advantage of my winning lane against a relatively non bursty champion by buying items that would greatly supplement my objective control.

Aaaand story time is over. Double minion setup was funny and surprisingly effective and all, but do you guys have any generalized tips for pushing advantages as a non-carry champion? I feel really spot on in terms of objective control, so I'd greatly appreciate advice geared around that. Also, any Cho'Gath players out there? I like playing Utility Tank Cho'Gath the most, but I kinda want to learn how to get the most bang from my buck with this guy.

Aura items benefit your whole team, pick them up when you're ahead as a non carry.

first you need your team to stick with you, you should be able to compensate for your lesser team mates cuz of your lead, they just have to be near you so you can save their ass also... ping the shit out of EVERYTHING dont even stop pinging either assume your team is abuncha dumbfucks with poor decision making NEVER walk into any game thinking that your team mates know how to focus the nexus, don't do it they don't know how to focus the nexus even if the game depended on it the time you spend pinging everything is arguably more productive than anything else you could be doing

also you gotta ping cuz not only are the other 4 absolute morons, they're also individual units... these pings can unite them into one unit, which is pretty good for a non premade team
