Can some of you higher elo players give us Silver players some tips on how to climb out of Silver?

The thing I tell everyone below Platinum:

Ignore chat and don't type. Only use pings to communicate.
Lead your team. When you know you can take dragon, ping it.
Take the initiative and ward. Also try to keep track of timers yourself. (Made easier now that you can view them with tab.)
Map control. Try to take teleport unless support/adc. Try to have as much of a global presence as you can.
Roam. If you win lane, try to snowball other lanes.
Group. Don't go wondering around solo, even if your team is playing a little too passively. Simply try to encourage them to group and push, rather than going ham by yourself.

Thank you for a positive comment, unlike the jackass that posted first. Btw would typing to say enemies summoners are down, Dragon will be up at 18:20, dont baron, etc be acceptable Or do u strictly mean not a single peep?

You could mention summoners, but outside of Platinum+ (Hell, probably D2+), I doubt anyone would take actual note and watch the clock before they all-in. You can give yourself notes for things though, sure. Jus' don't get caught up typing and forget to play, know what I mean?

Example: You know they just killed dragon, but had no vision on it. It was @20:57. You can type "Drag 2657" or w/e to note it, but don't do something like, "Hey guys, they just did dragon. It will be back up at 26:57."

The main point of it is, don't bother with telling them to "Dive" just ping the enemy after they run into their turret range. That way, the info is in front of them and it avoids 2 potential problems: 1: You get jumped on while typing. It happens and usually results in unfavorable outcomes. 2: They get distracted reading what you typed and fail to respond to a skillshot or other split-second situation.

It also means don't flame or pet your allies. A simple "ty" or "gj" is more than enough throughout the course of a game. You can save ego stroking until after the game is over.

Any chance you could narrow down the question? Saying 'how do I climb elo' is super broad. Is it your mechanics that's the issue? Decision making? Itemization? Are you not able to recognize your mistakes (trust me they're there, everyone makes them)?
