What you need to know about Sated Devourer
It has happened 3 times now, with feral flare, devourer, and now sated devourer, where this community of scrubs, not junglers, start playing jungle. I have heard often that higher ELO never has as big of issues with these items as lower ELO does. The reason for this is by the time you reach high elo, you know your main role like the back of your hand, and often times the rest of them as well. Whenever I personally play against a jungler who is building devourer, i rarely lose simply because of that specific person.
The reason for this is simple. When most people start playing LOL, especially without someone to teach them the game, they tend to get the concept of killing shit stuck in every decision they make, usually because of the games they came from. Thats why personally when i started playing, I had 4 damage items on rammus before my brother fixed my build and explained why. All these players are doing is jumping on the bandwagon of damage. Generally, THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO JUNGLE. They can probably play the champion just fine, most likely because they are either straight forward, or they have played them in another lane, like shyvana top lane. But when it comes down to fulfilling the role of the jungler, they are usually terrible at it.
Not to say that every person who plays a devourer champion is completely clueless, but generally they dont know a whole lot about the role. They just know how to clear camps until they get that item and then go and kill things. One thing that most people dont know, that is generally the downfall of the opposing team, is even if you are playing a devourer champion, YOU DONT HAVE TO AFK FARM. You can actually make an impact on the early game while still becoming a lategame monster with devourer. As far as actual jungling goes, They dont usually smite well. I cant count how many barons, dragons, hell even their own buffs that i have stolen because they smite it like 200 health early. The item may be good, but a good player will always beat a good item.
