Don't let her get fed, if she does, start praying. If you're not the type to pray, start wishful thinking.

Alrighty, here we go (I hope you're ready):

The easiest vaccine is prevention, but given the implications of the post, let's assume that's not an option.

Solutions: (Assuming she gets fed)

Tristana is the playground bully and you want to play on the swings. If you see Tristana playing on the swings, do you want to go there? HELL NO! If you see Tristana on the swings, you want to play on the slide and get Tristana away from the swings. When Tristana sees you and your friends having a great time on the slide, she'll want to get to you and take your lunch money (or beat you up, idk).

Since you know she wants to take your lunch money, she'll come to the slides when she sees you there, so you and your friends can lure her there, then distract her to get to the swings if you truly wish the play on the swings (destroy the nexus).

Solution 1: Avoid Her

  • This is comparable to a siege line in SC2; you do not engage the tanks head on, you look for a work-around and destroy the opponents infrastructure. You do not need to kill/fight Tristana to win the game

Unfortunately, this can be hard to orchestrate in solo queue, so let's look at an alternative method:

The second method begins in champion select. If Tristana gets through, you have to lead your team to select champs in a way that can deal with a fed Tristana. This method revolves around the "dive buddies" team comp. Simply stated, pick up Vi or Nocturne as a jungler, and TF or other strong gap-closing solo laners, or perhaps a twitch marksman.

This is something we see in OGN quite a lot. This is basically a flushed out pick comp that can collapse and kill extremely quickly.

Solution 2: Catch Her Out of Position

*This method only works is your teammates are competent at these types of champions, and if your team has sufficient vision. VISION IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! This is why the TF pick is so strong.

A third solution is the safest to set up, but often times resulting in the closest games. This method revolves around a Kog'Maw marksman who can effectively reciprocate damage with the Tristana, within the scope of a drawn out team fight. As you can imagine, one mis-position and either team can lose the game. This type of siege oriented team fighting can work well with a Xerath or Ziggs mid, to provide supplementary long-range artillery damage.

Solution 3: Out Team-Fight

And finally, we approach the idea of asymmetrical balance. If Tristana is 7/0/0, make sure you (as a solo laner) are 8/0/0 or better. Basically you must make sure you get more fed than the Tristana, on the other side of the map. You will be able to gain the initiative for your team, and force your opponents to react to you.

Solution 4: Get "More Fed"

Of course proper builds, team morale (attitudes) and communication trump an "OP Pick".

Hopefully these were the sort of thing you were looking for, but if you have additional questions, feel free to send me a message or check out some of my vids:

An alternative plan (now) is to disengage after she uses her Q, stall for 5s, then re-engage. Without her Q, she now gets outdamaged by just about any other ADC. Heck, you can even have your tank jsut pressure Trist while her Q is active. Even if you don't kill her, if she can't AA "freely" during her Q you nullify a lot of her damage.

You don't.

A hard seige comp is what I'd go for. Pick a front line with a strong engage/reengage like Malphite, Vi, champs that can turn their engage into one for your own team, this will dissuade the enemy team from being too quick to try and engage your team. Secondly pick your mid and AD around long range skill shots. Xerath, Vel'Koz, Varus, Kog'Maw are good picks as they can stay back and hard poke at the enemy team outside of their range. Don't simply hit whoever is closest, your poke has to be aimed for the squishy champions to force them out of the fray.

Another option is a pick comp around Blitz and another champ with hard CC that can lock down someone long enough for your team to dog pile on. One or two picks like this can force the enemy to abandon objectives and give you free reign, just make sure you have proper vision and move together as a team.
