ziggs vs xerath

I like both these guys. The waveclear and the easy side lane assistance turns me on. So how to decide?

Xerath's basic abilities are better, they cover more area and have more burst.

Zigg's abilities require more precision and creative combo'ing because Q can easily over shoot/ under shoot. Ziggs ult can change a fight however.

Ziggs is also better at self peel...

So basically positioning is harder on Xerath, while landing abilities is harder on Ziggs.

It comes down to the little things. If you like peeling for teammates or having a mobility spell, Ziggs is better. If you prefer poking people at max range, Xerath is better.

Xerath is better overall. Poke is easier to land and better cc. Ziggs is a bit safer cause he has a bit of mobility that xerath doesnt

thanks for advice, you two, i think i like the peel aspect so i'm leaning toward ziggs but i'll keep playin them on free week and decide after

ziggs is a better generic pick for soloqueue since he isn't as reliant on teammates peeling for him to fight.

Thanks for the continuing advice. I played a bunch of ziggs at the beginning of the week, and i'm playing xerath the last day. They are both really fun. Xerath feels a little too focused on damage to me, like his waveclear is just overkill. Obviously no amount of damage is too much.

Whereas with ziggs i feel i can offer more utility mainly because of the greater range of his ult. And then the peel and his slow/zoning feels more impactful than xerath's short-lived w and fairly difficult to land stun.

I'll continue to evaluate.
