To everyone complaining about Sated Devourer...

Rammus item 3717 item 3075 Ok~

Edit: Try it yourself before you judge! Thornmail may not block all the damage but with his W and the fact you can taunt a nasty Yi off your carries it does the trick extremely well. B)

well, uh, nothing works against true damage (except health in some cases).

For those 2 champs it is still dealing a lot of damage back between defensive ball curl and thorn mail (and Gromp buff too if that's up), not to mention that he can take challenging smite to reduce your damage.

With a full tank Rammus, basically all you'll hurt him with is true damage.

thornmail doesnt stop true damage or magic or bonus on hit physical damage. thornmail only reflects AA damage. Wits end, nashors, botrk, true damage modifiers all completely bypass thornmail.item 3070 Rammus item 3070

It's a good thing that those champs tend to have a high amount of AD to supplement their auto attack dmg (usually their largest damage output) which is mitigated and reflected to kill them. :)

Wit's End and Nashors are magic dmg, in which you probably wouldn't build thornmail as a counter to.

He put Rammus there because his w gives him tons of armor and magic resist. Rammus has surprising burst, and is great at locking down people with his q and e.

You've forgotten one thing:

Rammus return damage on his ballcurl. When his own personal thorns are up, he will proc return flat damage an additional time due to how Sated Devourer works. I've tested this. So if you're taking two hits and Sated gives the attacker a free third on-hit effect proc, they end up taking three return damage procs every two hits.
