Pink Ward Totem is Underappreciated!

The yellow trinket upgrade for the pink ward has a place in the game. For 250g when you hit level 9 I think it's well worth it especially for mid lane assassin champions.

Why mid lane assassins? Well for one as a mid laner warding is actually a very important part of your job. It doesn't just make yourself significantly safer, but your entire team. Since you're in the center of the map you can get your team a lot of information revealing enemy traffic around the center of the map.

The great thing about the pink ward totem is that it's very versatile. It's a good compromise between the red and yellow trinket. You can use it to ward an area, or "sweep" out enemy wards in a spot you decide you're gonna camp for a bit as an assassin. This gives me a bit security when I play a champion such as mid lane AP Fizz (which btw is fine to play as now). The pink ward can still also function as stealth detection in combat.

So if you regularly switch to the red trinket in your games, consider trying the pink ward totem. Unless you buy regular pink wards and want extra sweeping with your red trinket on top of that (few non-supports outside the LCS do) you won't miss much. You'll might want to buy a couple extra green wards in a game because of this, but I think this is the superior choice for mid laners assassins. If I'm playing a regular mage mid like Ziggs though I still tend to stick to the green ward trinket upgrade and I'll just buy the pink wards directly instead
