Fact: adcs are good mid

There are certain qualities looked for in a mid laner. One doesn't have to have all of them to be effective, but the better/more of these that have, the better they will tend to perform in mid. Some examples:

-Wave clear (under pressure) -Ranged trade power -Strong teamfight presence -Roam potential -Assassination potential -Burst damage

there are probably others. Long story short, some ADCs make pretty good mids, some make OK mids, some are very bad mid.

Fact: assassins counter adcs

They're not as safe solo lane as certain mages and assassins are.

There's less risk and more reward when they're paired with a support bot lane, since they care more about gold than levels (and mages/assassins get more out of levels).

Are ADC's mid bad? No.

Are they good? It's not exactly the best use of your resources, just like how grouping mid at fifteen minutes isn't always the best idea.

Lack of CC and mobility. Free kill for enemy junglers.

If you play an ADC at mid lane and then whines about "Why the fk are there no AP in this stupid team??", you deserve a permaban.

They can be. But roaming gank protection is very weak. Also they die fast to burst which many mid's often are.

There aren't many ADC's who can safely go to mid lane and I say there aren't many, I literally mean 2 of them. Varus has safe wave clear so he can roam, has decent burst and just enough CC to stop assassins from completely wrecking him. Quinn is quite situational but imo, works quite well. She can easily burst with her Passive,AA,E,AA,R,Q,R combo. Her vault allows her a decent way to completely ruin an assassin and Valor gives her great split push potential if you fall behind.
