I feel unable to affect games

Title.

I'm at silver 5, 0 LP. I win a couple, lose more. Mostly matched against high bronze. I mostly do jungle and support.

My general playstyle favors safety. With most of my games, the losing team has upwards of 30 kills, and the winning team has even more. Yet my average death count is a hair under 5, and for my last 10 wins it's actually just 2. Even some of my losses see me giving almost no gold to the enemy, and when I do it's because they can't finish terribly well but just keep killing us. For any other screw up I do make, I almost never chase a kill, and rarely hang around at low HP unless I have a critical teamfight move I can do before I die and my team won't fall back. However, with people on both sides chasing kills and myself mostly playing tank jungles or supports, I'm rather poor at pushing on my own and the objectives just don't get taken. Does anyone have any tips on increasing map pressure*?

*wardscore puts me at about 80% of players, so I have that one down. Right now I mostly play Nautilus, with Soraka, Kayle, or Anivia as my fallbacks for when Naut is banned, taken, or not a good choice.

It's because League is a teambased game. And the first match is all luck. If you get put with shitty people or people have a shitty day, then you're boned for life because that effects your MMR and pairs you with people who have similar MMR. And if your MMR is low, then it's bad teams all year round for life.

If you aren't confident to chase kills or push objectives when you're low, it means that there aren't enough wards on the map. Even if you've got four down remind your team that they have a trinket too. As a tanky jungle/support, your impact on the game is to feed your team to the point where they carry you. If you can't do that, consider trying a carry role and/or splitpush junglers.

I've started carrying myself out with Udyr, op.gg me, if you'd like. I used him for the the first time in a normal once, and sitting at a 75% winrate in ranked with him, 8 games in today. Easy to learn, and absolute monster tank\buiser JG

Honestly it sounds like shotcalling. Find however works for you to lead your team, you will lose alot of games learning to shotcall. But after awhile you will begin to learn, be able to articulate what needs to be done (telling your team in chat so everyone is on same page) and it being done, some games people won't listen, those games are usually unwinnable because no teamwork, or just limited teamwork.

Another thing is if team pings baron but you want inhib tower, don't be afraid to take baron or say no. I have done it alot recently, taken baron instead of towers simply to have it off the map for 7 minutes so we have 6minutes 30 seconds of pressure, either through split pushing or just grouping and saying fuck you this inhib is ours.

If your team refuses to force objectives, no matter what champion you are playing the answer is always sheen. Force them yourself.

It's great that you aren't trapped in the mentality of kill hunting, but being overly cautious can be a bad thing. If you never take a risk, you never know your limits. Playing safe is excellent, but if you see a team fight waiting to happen and get cold feet, you aren't helping your team as much as you should be. Not dying will often earn you respect from your teammates, and you need to take that respect as the jungler or support to take over as the shot caller. Ping objectives, start team fights, be the leader on your team.

Lastly, being safe does not always mean playing well, it can also mean you are playing passively/uninvolved with your team. Just because you have low deaths doesn't mean you are playing better. Go for maximized kill participation. Get assists. If one of your teammates goes ham to get a kill, do your best to help them secure that kill and then transfer that into getting objectives.
