What is the best way to carry as Riven from the top lane?

I know it varies from game to game, but generally speaking what exactly am I looking to do?

Right now I try and dominate and roam as much as I can. So I try and kill my opponent and then roam mid if I can or run bot really quick.

I also have been trying to take my tower ASAP so I can roam to other lanes and help them, but when I get there and we do get a kill, I feel like they don't want to take a tower or how the fight turned out didn't put us in a good spot to take an objective, so what do I do then?

What is my best plan of attack to carry the right way by sharing my wealth and advantage and giving it to my teammates?

One word... TELEPORT. Easy way to get to mid and bottom (I KNOW, I GO THROUGH THIS PROBLEM TOO) you feel like you are so miles away from helping your team, well, problem solved, Teleport to Aly ward in a bush, sneakily come in for the gank, then PUSH! Riven

use teleport in team fights etc if you get a kill in lane snowball and roam mid whenever possible if you do this you will win countless games w/her

mm…. i'm no pro at riven but from what I've seen when you want to trade Q then auto attack in-between each q, and stun after your combo is done for maximum damage…. most of the time this will win you lane. if your mid or bottom doesn't want to take tower just split top and pressure the enemy team while your team gets objectives or farms

i dont usually like teleport unless i'm in a matchup where i get bullied super hard pre-6. ignite gives you a TON of kill potential, and riven has so much mobility that TP often feels redundant to me once I'm at 40% cdr.

i find the best way to carry with this champ is to snowball your own lane and pressure it hard enough to draw the attention of the enemy team. if you're strong enough to take turrets even with their own top laner protecting, they'll have to send a 2nd person to deal with you. at that point your team has a 4v3 and they should be winning, while you escape easily with your high mobility (or, if you're strong enough, fight the 1v2 and win). <-- you'd be surprised how often this can happen with riven!
