Aoe slow to pull off ganks.

It's like almost required to gank well early game. Gank bot lane from behind, hit slow on both champions, and chunks the wave at the same time. Anyone who says otherwise about not getting W first doesn't play ranked 5's.

Edit - Read the link and almost got cancer. Lol... Does he even know about the mechanic of point blank using W and it will shoot the middle one behind them hitting champions behind that target?

I know full well about this strategy. The thing is, it's not that common that when you're ganking that two enemies will be that close to each other. Granted, bot lane would be good for this, but that's one lane out of three. Not good odds for generalized purposes. Teamfights it could be useful. But like I said, Kha is an assassin - dealing as much damage as possible to one target as quickly as possible. Upgrading his w doesn't help him accomplish this near as much as his q, e, and r do. To be blunt, Kha isn't built to be a teamfighter, trying to use his w to get AOE (that isn't that reliable, considering it's moderate cooldown and the fact that it isn't hard cc) isn't the best idea. Stick to assassinating one person, backing off, assasinating another, rinse and repeat until at inhib turrets. I am not saying here that evolving w has no use, but considering Kha's playstyle, it just doesn't benefit him enough imo.
