Hello! I have been playing yasuo a lot lately and I noticed that he was more efficient top for me as my passive sheild wouldnt be easily poked down by ap mages. whenever i do play mid i have a hard time just for that reason. Can someone please give me some tips on what I can do to fix this and win lane?
Stay out of range of mages autos unless you are going in to trade and CS with your Q and use windwall to protect you if you gotta go in deep to get a few CS that.
Yasuo struggles top because a lot of the champions that go top in the current meta completely wreck him. Champs like Darius, Wukong, Hecarim, Riven, Irelia, Fiora and Tryndamere are very common top and are extremely difficult matchups for yasuo. Tanks taking smite top also shit on Yasuo.
I used to play Yasuo top, but switched to mid because yasuo does much better mid vs ap mages.
always go for level 2 cheese because mindgames
try to stay always moving especially if the ap mage its a skillshot reliant, if its a point and click stay out of range. Farm with Q to try to harass from distance using your whirlwind (care with this if the enemy stays behind the minions you may end shoving the lane and getting ganked), and practice to move with your E through the crepp wave to aa or Q the enemy and back instantly using E.
Ooh i've been looking around for one of these recently, im a yasuo main with probably 300+ games with yasuo, and i level 2 cheese every damn time, (unless i accidently level w that one time) but basically you need to stay away from them level 1, and the second u hit level 2 put a point in your e and when they go in to auto... fuck. them. up. bigtime. also watch redmercy's recent yasuo videos, he kinda has the same playstyle has me (im a little more agressive though) cause the deal with yasuo is you really need to watch how shit gets done, otherwise your dead meat. really though, watch redmercy's yasuo videos.
