Ranked Duo-Partner Tips ?

I have noticed various posts about people looking for a duo. How-ever, I have been thinking that it would be more effective to look for a duo who mains champions that synergise with your main champions, rather than just because they are of a similar Elo or MMR or Rank, etc.

Like, when I'm in Ranked, and see people on either team pick Galio Malphite Kennen , I am prompted to check their stats to see if they main said pick, because I feel that certain duo-combinations yield for the most-effective synergies. I main this trio, and as a duo, they have some very effective wombo-combos.

Sometimes or perhaps often people tend to duo as a bot-lane, but just because people are a duo, I do not think that automatically warrants taking bot-lane, because bot-lane may not necessarily be the best roles that the duo can play, and if both are very good at covering two separate lanes or a lane & the jungle, I would think that it would increase the odds/chances of better over-all team lane-control, but perhaps it depends on the duo.

Anyway... back to more grinding... kind of going solo at it for now.

It's not always the case that the duo is taking bot lane. I've played with a jungle main and I mostly play support. If I can roam, the two man gank with a support and jungler is pretty significant. Support just cc's them while the laner and jungler go ham.

Of course the adc blames you for anything that went wrong while you went assist other allies that are not them.

FYI I play in low elo bronze 2 - silver 3. This may not work in high elo.

The best duo I've had was me either taking top/mid and them having bot as support. I main Irelia and find it easy to win my lane and pick up several kills quite quickly. My friend mains Leona and that really compliments my aggressive play style for the mid game. Champion synergies are great but having your play styles mesh are also key.

the purpose of a duo is just to reduce the chances of having a feeder on the team. typically best to spread out and not duo bot. best is a combo that I've seen is a mid/jg and a top/adc. someone that can carry early game and the other guy carries late game.
