Climbing the ladder has been very difficult lately. Never in my league of legends history have I seen so many feeders in a row. any tips to climb, currently?

I played support. You have a lot of impact having a lot of utility. like Nami, Morgana or Leona. Worked for me. Ward a lot. Good luck.

Um... I'd like to caution against this, especially if you're not really good with support champions or good at supporting in general. There will be some games that you just can't win, even if you use the above mentioned dodge method to weed out teams that have obvious problems. Support is a role that is really hard to carry with, even if you have a lot of utility, especially if you aren't used to supporting or if support doesn't feel natural to you. I'm not saying to refuse to support... just don't main support if it doesn't feel right.

I can attest to this; I play some of the supports with the most utility in the game, and still lose because my adc is inept, or the enemy jungler gets fed off camping top. No amount of slows and stuns can help with stupid people, most of the time. Support is also the HARDEST position to have a direct impact on the game with, because you are ALL utility; most of the time supports deal little damage, and, past their utility, they MIGHT have decent tank stats.

Just some things to consider; for all I know, you could be a stellar support but feel like a carry role is the only way to climb. It's up to you what to try, but I advise picking a role and champion that suits your playstyle, if you're... say gold or below. Anywhere above that, I advise getting familiar with a lot of champions to increase your options... but definitely not before gold.

All of what was said in the second paragraph only really applies to low elos. Support is the easiest to carry with in my opinion because as long as you know how to keep your teammates alive they dish out damage and actually try to do their best. As long as you are alive you can change a fight. On most supports the enemies focus will probably not be you in team fights unless you have bad positioning so from an angle you can help out your teammates. When it comes to low elos, I feel like as long as you devote your playstyle to keeping everyone safe (as well as you) you can carry your game. Trying the make big plays and engages is less important than helping your team so always always have your focus on your teammates/adc.

I'm not trying to say that support is 100% not the way to carry in soloque, I'm just saying that support will not be a "magic bullet" cure to his soloque difficulties. A lot of what works in lower elo depends on the player and how well they understand the mechanics, and if the OP is not a good support then I would definitely recommend against playing support at low elo just because someone on the forum said it's easy, and you'll carry all the time.

I just think that supporting is better than most roles in low elo because it's less self focused. It depends on a lot of factors though like you said so yah I agree it's difficult to say its the sure fire way to climb, but I do feel like in most cases devoting yourself to supporting well is a good way to do so.

I have the same problem I play every lane and yet someone ends up doing terrible or I end up doing terrible, IDK why but i feel like i have very unfair match ups but i gues duo with someone you know is really good

Duo with people that are better than you, as in know the game better than you. They dont have to be smurfs, but they have to have game knowledge. GARENtee you that will help.

I just climbed 2 divisions in about a week by dodging like a maniac. I was real upset about not having progressed for a while so I just said, "F*ck it; if I see an unplayable team comp, a rager, or someone who afks in champ select, I'm out. Not even gonna try it." If you can't have confidence in your set up, you aren't going to do well, and are a detriment to your own team. That and MMR means so much more than lp, so it's always the smarter option than wasting 30+ min (cause ppl seem to have grown averse to ff'ing recently...) in a lopsided game.
