Since Gangplank is dead on the normal server I hopped on the PBE and recorded some very useful barrel techniques that I haven't seen many players utilizing. A couple techniques I have never seen anyone use, and they are perhaps the most powerful ones.

This guide goes over basic and advanced techniques that will vastly improve the utility of barrels; in lane, initiating, and team fighting.

Don't worry, it is smartcasting! It's just smartcasting with range indicators. So smartcasting normally casts spells on button press, smart cast with range indicators casts spells on button release and shows the range indicator on the down press. I've tried both extensively..I just prefer being able to check ranges of spells without having to bind another key to do so. Some people put the normal cast on shift+key to check ranges.
