How to not be bronze in the first place. (for newer players)
I've seen some "get out of bronze" threads recently, but I thought, "Why not give newer players much better advice?" Thus:
-
Do not play ranked as soon as you hit level 30. Unless you're a smurf. Or Jesus.
-
Before you do play ranked—assuming you want to stay out of bronze—make sure you have a solid understanding of the game, its champions, and its tactics/strategy. The Lol wiki is your friend.
-
Hopefully, by the time you start ranked and play your promos, you do decent enough to start somewhere in silver at least. If not... take a break and learn more. Which brings me to the actual point: If you find yourself playing worse and dropping tiers, TAKE A BREAK. Either from ranked, or League all together. (I started this season in silver 4, and dropped to silver 5. I took a month long break; now I'm gold 4. It works.)
-
Watch streams and spectate games, both high and low elo. It helps teach oneself what to do and what not to do.
There are countless other tips out there; just remember to take preemptive measure to prevent bronze placement from happening in the first place so that you don't have to fight the bronze battle later. ;)
