What if her Ki Burst only stunned champions, so that minions could punish her more for trading with you in the minion wave? It might be barely noticeable, but it also might require Riven players to be more careful with early trades since they couldn't aoe stun all the minions directly around her.
IDK, I don't have any issues with Riven actually being a good duelist in-lane.
It's more annoying trying to play a lot of good duelist/lacking team-fighter champions in top lane where minions/towers prevent you from actually being that strong early - where someone with range like
can pick you apart early just because range is a super-amazing advantage in lane, then they scale into a much better team-fighter when team fights actually happen.
A lackluster early defeats the entire point of picking most melee fighters or duelists.
Even though Riven is kind of notorious for a strong early, I'd much rather Riot tried boosting other fighter/top-lane picks so there early game isn't frequently outclassed by the alternatives in terms of reliability and having power-spikes at useful times like Riven over just nerffing Riven.
That's not a really small nerf though. You know, I understand that Riv can feel frustrating to play against at times, but hey, at least she's not someone like Darius, who has higher AD scaling than her in fact, far higher tank scalings, and much more detrimental kit.
She's fine where she's at, and honestly, I think another big nerf like that would be way too damaging to her, and there probably wouldn't be a reason to play her.
It would be nice, but she can still easily dash away.
