I feel like I'm farming incorrectly

I always thought I was good at farming, simply because I often had the highest farm on my team Then this Katarina comes along and gave me some advise on building ap, lol irrelevant info much and also brought up how she had 251 cs in 32 minutes http://puu.sh/gg1pz/76efe2c7d6.png Alright I admit this was pretty good So I had another game where I was Nasus and I only had 195 farm at 32 minutes http://puu.sh/gg1m3/4f37d018cd.png wut the actual fuq, i spent the entire godam game farming! I even gotten over 700 stacks :/ I then look over at my Udyr games, I know I farm shit tons as Udyr http://puu.sh/gg1xE/b5ce7a857d.png This was as close as I got to getting 251 in about 32 minutes

Looked at some more Udyr games of mines, and I noticed many games didnt reach 250 farm, even after 32 minutes This cant be right I EVEN SPEND THE ENTIRE GAME FARMING EVERYTHING >:L What the fuq did she do to get 251 CS, minues the fact she also took the time to kill fuqing everyone on the rift

Doing jungle camp increases your farm alot. When i used to play toplane shyvana, I would proxy waves and do jungle camps, it would easily get me 250+ farm in under 30 minutes. Also I've seen people inflate there farm by doing only the small raptors/ wolves when they are roaming somewhere, it actually adds up quite a bit. But nonetheless that much farm on a melee champion like kat is very impressive.

I really wonder that too. I think they have a rotation that includes farming the creeps and the monsters. Or the champion is very good at last hitting. I dunno, perhaps it is witchcraft.

Did she lane against anything with minions? As everyone else has said, she was likely taking jungle camps as well.

Well considering how fed she was she likely just had free roam of the entire map. She likely just ran around clearing lanes and jungle camps while looking for picks. Once she gets enough AP she can clear waves fairly easily with her abilities.

People have pointed out that she took jungle creeps (23 you said). So she got 228 minions from lanes. I would imagine that playing kat she was roaming a lot. I think you should look at the match history and look at the farm in her other lanes. When she would roam to gank, I would almost bet that she would try the gank and then tax the lane with her abilities before returning to her own lane.

32 minutes also goes quite a bit into the game. She may have been roaming and grabbing farm from lanes wherever she could around the map. Bot lane back up to get items and go group? Maybe I'll push bot while they buy and meet them mid. Just picking up farm around the map.

  • Jungle camps

  • taxing while roaming / ganking

  • picking up free farm in lanes mid game

These are how players generally put up high numbers.

Lower elos people just leave their lanes and don't push. When I play ranked I whore the farm lol. I will just leave the group go wave clear and come back. She farmed from different lanes.
