How do I deal with Soraka?

let me just start by saying ADC is my worst spot, but I'm looking to improve at it. However, every game in which I get matched against Soraka, i get absolutely wrecked. I can normally hold decent cs, but against this champion, my cs is horrible...like 100 in 20 minutes horrible.

I can't trade with the adc; I lose them because soraka heals them. Worst case scenario even...i am dodging her Q's, not getting ganked and still get pushed to my tower. I can't attack soraka either because she stands waaay back. then if i Try to, the minions ruin my day.

should i just not even bother trading and farm until I get a gank or they mess up??

Honestly, I tell my support to focus soraka they would just lock soraka down \and the adc is nothing.

Soraka roflstomps immobile and short-ranged champions, since she can poke them easily and is fairly long ranged. If you're an ADC with some kind of long range poke (Varus, Caitlyn, Jinx), you can harass her very easily. You can also hope for a hard engage support; Soraka's biggest weakness is that she doesn't really offer any peel for her ADC. She can spam her heals, but if Leona is all up in her business, she's going to have a bad time.

what adc are you using
maybe don't psyche yourself out against her? people tend to do that a lot.
if you cant get at soraka because she's so far back, you need your support to help you get at her or at the very least help you burst down the adc before raka can heal them. You should trying duoing with someone you trust to help you get used to the role and playing against a raka
being pushed against a turret isnt necessarily a bad thing. you can use it to your advantage, esp if you have your support with you. if you have annie supp, she can drop tibbers aoe stun and damage and you as the adc can dish out your damage hard. morg, same thing except she needs the to make sure she doesnt die before stun goes off. malph knock pu ult same thing. basically work with your support to try and help you get fed. The more you and your support work together, the better you do.

If she buy a sightstone, just ask your jungler to gank right away. It gives her close to nothing in term of stats. It's the right timing to strike.

If you try to win a poke war with a sustain champion like soraka you are going to have a rough day.

Traditionally, hard engage or "kill" lanes are favorable against "sustain" lanes. Try matching up with strong engage champions like blitz, thresh, nautilus, leona, etc and go for an early all in.

Well, I play Soraka a fair amount. So remember - Her heal uses her HP. If you give her a reason to heal her ADC, even taking pot shots just to injure them, it -can- whittle them both down. Not a sure bet since a smart Soraka won't start healing until its really needed.

When you have Raka in enemy you focus her simple that is sounds it works. Unlike in traditional duo botlane matchups where almost allways teh adcs get focused when you Soraka you MUST kill her first or she'Ll keep alive both of them.
