Dear ADC,

Dear ADC,

When you decide to solo que bot lane and you call ADC, someone needs to be your support. You may have never met this person in your life and may never see them again, so please treat them with respect.

When we both die in a very close trade at 10min, instead of saying "This is why I don't want You as a support." You could easily say "dang. That was close. We'll get them next time." When the support goes back for the first time with 2000 gold because they have been holding while you go spend all your cash, don't overextend then ask "Where the hell are you!?" When it comes to mid/ late game don't keep saying "Where the hell are all our wards support. You aren't doing anything!" When if you look at the map there are 4 wards already out. A pink and 3 greens. All the supports.

So next time you call your support bad, just remember that they are the only one that can carry you early game and you should treat them with respect. Call your support sh*t and they will be. Give them praise and they will be more inclined to protect and help you.

From the only one that can stand your attitude for the betterment of the team, your support.

could we just stop with reviving carry shaming? didnt we go through all this in S3 and found out that there ARE bad supports? yes, there is no reason to flame them the same way there is no reason to flame anyone, but the support can be as bad as any other role. its not easier to play support, you make the same amound of mistakes anyone else does, and playing support doesnt protect you from getting called out for it.

And remember, that in the late game, we need you for team fights. Don't go running top or bottom and splitpushing when the entire enemy team is pushing mid.

That happened in a ranked game a little while ago. We were pretty much even, even though they had just taken baron. Our ADC thought that this would be the perfect time to go split push.

Unless you have relic shield, don't attack the creeps. Ever. I don't care if you want to shove the lane. I don't care if you think I'll miss it. I don't care if you need the spell vamp. I definitely do not care if you think you're helping. You are fucking up my CS. Stop doing it. I would rather miss the CS by myself than with you "helping". Be aware, if you're attacking the CS in any way, that you are annoying me. I will normally say something, and if you ignore it then you deserve the hate.

... but sometimes when it's not that bad I won't say anything. I won't say anything because we're doing well bot lane and I don't want to put you off. But when, for example, we have a close loss of a trade 10 minutes in after you've been attacking my CS, yes, I'm going to snap at you. And it's entirely your fault.

I really get tired of listening to supports pretend they are diamond level players who make ZERO mistakes, and somehow its always the big bad ADC who cusses, rages, and complains all the time.

You know, I've had MORE supports bitch and complain, than I ever have had ADCs. I play both. The fact is, when you actually PLAY support well, people dont bitch at you. Its rare.

Because, support wins bot lane. Its very heavily weighted toward which support is better, then which adc is better, at least in the laning phase. So if your lane is going down the shitter, 9 times out of 10, its because of the support play; one being better than the other.

I just get tired of these Dear ADC posts, when you guys pretend you make zero mistakes in lane. Just because you are a support, you are not infallible.

I'd prefer neither. If I or support can figure out a concrete reason we lost and a different action that will lead to winning in the future, I will say it and if the support figures it out instead I would prefer that's what he says. If I can't think of anything, I'm not likely to say a whole lot either way but I guess encouragement works too. Nobody likes dying, but dying that way is a misplay. It doesn't matter whose unless it's something whereby changing one's choices can alter the outcome.

But then I like all of the roles in this game, so I know what it's like to be support too. That lane is rough if someone doesn't have a presence there, regardless of which person it is.

Granted, but don't expect me to hold your hand if you miss every skillshot and run away after I'm committed :]

{quoted} When the support goes back for the first time with 2000 gold because they have been holding while you go spend all your cash, don't overextend then ask "Where the hell are you!?"

Granted, but you really should try to time your recalls with mine because if I'm sitting alone in lane I'll only get half the CS and I'll get harassed to half hp while I'm doing it, which means we have no way to fight them when you do show up.

{quoted} When it comes to mid/ late game don't keep saying "Where the hell are all our wards support. You aren't doing anything!" When if you look at the map there are 4 wards already out. A pink and 3 greens. All the supports.

Granted, but if you've got a fully charged sightstone and we have no vision then you're the first person I'm going to say something to. Especially because I'm that ADC who buys a pink ward every time I recall after my first back (assuming it isn't still up in a good location).

Part of the reason I stopped playing ADC is because you're right. The support is the only one who can win you lane phase, and having that kind of reliance on a random person is just miserable. I still get stuck in bot lane with a random person sometimes and laning with some mid main that got forced to support and has never actually bothered to learn the position is misery. Seriously, everyone needs to learn this position. You're going to have to play it eventually.

Now you know supports rarely get any recognition on the rift. No matter how many plays we set up, how man peels, wards doesn't matter. The one with all the kills will declare victory an say they carried they group. Although your point is nice ideally, realistically it will probably never happen. This is the way its been an probably will stay. However at least for myself support is home, and do what I can to set plays.

Dear ADCs, It's all fine and dandy if you want to rage at me and it's fine if you're toxic. But please, stop being garbage. I'd say about 90% of solo queue ADCs shouldn't call adc, and should stick with simpler champions and roles. Yours Truly, That mid laner you fed

I find it mildly amusing how bipolar a lot of ADCs are. Typically during laning, of course:

Enemy bot gets lvl 2 first and chunks at us. I save ADC and we hug turret while we heal up. ADC: OMG WORST SUPPORT EVER. D:<

I get to lvl 2/3 and start bullying the enemy bot lane so they're hugging turret the rest of laning phase. ADC may or may not get a kill or two depending on aggressiveness. ADC: OMG I LOVE YOU <3

Silly ADCs...

this is why i dont like playing support. 80% of ADCs are douchey 13 year olds who get mad at every mistake But damn i love being a good support. Alistar Galio Lux Soraka Thresh Velkoz
