I cant carry as ADC in low elo.

I just can't. The only time I carry is if I have another good person on my team, preferably on something like Irelia, or a tanky support who peels, whatever. No matter how well I do in lane, or how fed or farmed i get, it never fails that the enemy point and click wonder champ is fed and romping all over everyone, and I simply cannot kill people or him before he kills my team.

Usually Irelias, Rivens, Yi's, sometimes Yasuo's, various bruisers and high damage things like J4, etc. I end up with most farm, I might kill the enemy adc 2-3 times, I might be 40cs over him, but I simply get bull-dozed over by irelias and various other champions of that ilk. Especially if I'm on a squishy team, where I dont have a frontline who can last long enough for me to do much of anything, which seems to be the norm in low elo where ppl spam nothing but assassins and carry champs and feast or famine.

I dunno, getting depressing. I win lane pretty hard, but I cant deal with all the trash that happens across the map, on champions that are easier to carry the game with mechanically.

I dont claim to be a great player. I'm sure some smurfs will come in and tell me how they win all these games, but its tough. I hit tab, see I have double the CS of the enemy ADC, but running all over the place gibbing people are the Zed's, Ahri's, Irelia's, J4's, and other things to the point I cant personally deal with them, and half the time I dont have a team that can. The few times I can deal with them, Ill have like a braum support, or someone on my team doing at least decent on a tanky champ that can soak some damage long enough for me to get work done.

I dunno, I'm getting frustrated. I SHOULD be able to do more with the leads I get in lane. Hell, half the time I get these leads but I cant even apply them to the lane for whatever reason. Support keeps getting killed, jungle presence, Can't get a decent fight, even though Im an entire item up and 40-50 cs up. And, I play pretty aggressive. Poking, trading, whatever.

I feel like no matter what kind of lead I get, if there is a strong fed bruiser or assassin on the enemy team, games over unless he suicides. I see this happen sometimes when the enemy ADC is fed, too. I'll be in another role, enemy ADC 5/0, and he gets zero peel, zero anything, and either starts getting zerged down, or his team dies and feeds around him so much that he cant do anything.

I'm not a person who gives up but I got gold on another account, playing only top lane. I've thought long and hard about just swapping roles, or at least until I get to an elo where it feels less like being a 1 man army dodging hand grenades trying to kill a tank line with a sling shot.

I guess my question is, how can I push my lead or deal with this kind of Irelia/Zed-type crap that happens every game? I just cannot parlay what is usually a strong lane win into anything.

You can't carry alone, it's team effort but let's see if I have a few new pearls for you.

Buy wards, hug turrets if you need to. Don't forget to roam to problem lanes and shut them down before they get fed and hit power spikes.

Maybe try adc's that scale into solo late game (Vayne, Graves, etc) and can 1v1 a bruiser.

If Zed is 100-0 you, buy a quicksilver sash.

If Irelia is a problem... hm, countering her build is typically the toplaner's job, so you can suggest builds. Building health against her is a good idea, and maybe a thornmail (warmog + thornmail, since one gives armor and one gives health, so balance!) since most Irelia's tend to build attack speed to get the most out of their W.

Remember that objectives win the game. Take down bot turret quickly (make sure you have wards to prevent surprise ganks, it's not just your support's job), take down dragon as fast as possible, etc. Then roam to other lanes, make sure they're warded up, and get that turret down fast. An ap mage can't nuke towers like you can, so you need to help them (and an APC trying to auto a tower by themself is asking to get ganked). Top is an island, so buy yourself a boat named S.S. Ward and help them take tower if they're struggling. If your jungler is behind, steal the enemy's camps and buffs if you can.

Blah blah blah

tl;dr: be a teamplayer and share your power. Don't just carry, support too.

Learn to orb walk perfectly and play an adc other that lucian. Graves, Jinx, Cait and vayne if you can master her lane phase. You'll never be able to rely on team mates to peel for you so you need to play champions who can effectively do it for themselves.

Positioning is also very key, stay in the back and attack whatever is infront of you. if an irelia is chasing you down just save QSS / flash cds for her and orb walk to keep yourself alive. I can see you cs well so the only problems i could see you having is positioning / orbwalking. Just youtube some guides and practice practice

Yeah a fed assassin will always shut down an adc. It sucks, but it's just the way she goes.

Just as a note:

40% of challenger/master players are ADC mains, 30% are mid mains, and the rest are jg/top/support.

This means that ADC is the easiest role to carry from.

In low elo, you have to make some unorthodox builds. For example, if you are dominating the other ADC, and have no worries about him, yet you are worried about bruisers, maybe stop rushing IE on Lucian and go for the BoRK/Ghostblade build, then get BT or Triforce to kite better. Get a Randuins as a defensive item instead of GA, since Randuins on an ADC with a dash wrecks melees. etc etc. Stop copying the pros - they build the way they do because its LCS and they know their team will peel, but do you have LCS mechanics? Do you trust your team to peel?

the problem most have with adc in low elo is that teams dont know how to peel. Spam kalista whenever shes not banned and you wont have to worry as much about that
