Dealing With Hard Counters: Anivia V.S Le Blanc

I main Anivia mid lane, I've done just about everything with her and have been playing her since I began playing the game. You name it! AD carry, bruiser/tanky and support. But one of the hardest counters to Anivia is Le Blanc, it's so easy and one-sided for her. If you don't play it perfectly, you're zoned for the entire laning phase or dead. I still have trouble with this match-up, but at least I can share my insight with the rest of you.

Laning phase

Start either flask or Dsheild, bring flat mr glyphs, mpen reds, flat hp yellows and either MR or AP quints. You're gonna want to start Q, then max E, and get wall at levels 3 or 4 whichever you'd perfer. In lane, you're going to farm from a distance at level 1 playing as passively as possible, then at level 2-4 she likely wants to go extremely aggressive, usually going for a Q-W or Q-E-W. the first time she does this, you have to be quick, use the double Q (Q then detonate it) as she jumps into you. then E her and toss a few snowflakes at her. When you get your wall, you can cancel her distortion with her wall by walling on top her before she distortions. This is really hard to do, so practice up with a lot of different champions and abilities.

Don't even bother trying to call your jungler on her though, unless she is literally in turret range, pre-6 and uses her w aggressively. It's honestly so much of a pain trying to gank a Le Blanc that it's just not worth it so you've got to depend on yourself for this one. She's such a hard champion to lock down especially with someone like Anivia, who is better against closer ranged immobile mages and some melees. For your build, rush tear into chalice and even get abyssal if you really need it, then just adjust your build to whatever else you need and that's all. later on in the game stay far back in team fights, try and catch a lot of people with your ult, Q and W, the usual anivia stuff if she jumps in e her or Q her if it's still up so that she'll be forced to back out.

That's all I got so good luck in solo queue.

You can also aim skill shots at the return point of lbs W, so even if she jumps back she will still get hit.

? since LB lost the silence it´s fairly easy....just aim the stun through her at the point where she steps from and you can savly stun her (either in melee range or after she stepped back) and burst her down. Or just waveclear from save distance and out-teamfight her if you´re not confident about landing the stun...(also Roa+chalice is a good build if you have trouble with the burst).

I disagree, I think It's definitely one of the harder match-ups -- if not -- the hardest matchup in general. Still, nice tips guys I'll try and implement them in the next time I have to deal with this nightmare of a matchup. I think that canceling her distortion with double Q or W makes the trade a lot more in favor of you, but I'm just gonna aim my Q to hit her when goes back to her distortion for now on because it's the more reliable option.
