How to Ward, and Sightstone vs Stealth Wards

Hey guys,

So I made another video, this time about warding. Was kind of hoping to show people how much of a difference wards make, and in this video you'll see a few good plays that were created and avoided because of wards. I've also gone over ward placement, and discussed the difference between Sightstone and Stealth wards, and when each is needed. I really the fact that people say stuff like "wow this support, not even a sightstone", or "you can't support, you don't have a sightstone", when it really isn't always necessary. Nonetheless, great item, and I do buy it occasionally, but I was just wondering if there are times when you don't buy a Sightstone and just go with your trinket and stealth wards as a support, because I do it quite often and tend to play Support very well.

Thanks and hope you enjoy the video.

Great video, found it really helpful. As for the Sightstone vs Stealth Wards, I have seen several supports run stealth wards instead of sightstone, and they tend to do very well. I'd like to try it, but when I support, I get to paranoid about ganks. I think I will however try that pink ward trick you showed, because I haven't tried that yet.

A great benefit to having a sightstone is that it opens up your trinket slot to get a sweeper. Denying vision from the enemy team is just as vital in the vision game for map control, setting picks, and controlling neutral objectives. I generally place a ward every minute on average so the cost-effectiveness and flexibility of a sightstone is too good to pass up.

Thanks for the video. The visual guide on ward placement is really helpful.
