Has Bronze Become Harder?

I know it may seem like a strange question, but I started playing this game since S3, managed to get gold, and S4, managed to stay in silver, then S5, I stopped playing all together because I really wasn't enjoying the game anymore.

Recently some of my friends have asked me to play a few games, and I've been liking it again. But for some reason it seems like it's now harder to get out of Bronze. Back in Season 3 and 4, it was a challenge but it was doable, I'd win a few, I'd lose a few. Now, I pay the same roles, same champions, and it seems like there are just a lot more people that... suck? Don't understand the game? Go into ranked unprepared?

Is it just me, and that my skills have declined since I didn't play much at all S5, or has the game just gotten a bunch of more people, and a bunch of more people playing ranked now (some prepared and some not). I've lost a lot of ranked games recently, and it seems at a higher amount than past seasons.

I can't really speak to if it has gotten harder having only joined since pre season 6 but I can honestly say it's damn near impossible to get out of bronze in the current state of the game. I just had two horror show matches back to back. First one I had a Malphite support who went completely 11 year old tantrum starting trolling and feeding like 5 minutes into the game. Then I had a match with a Soraka support sporting TP/Heal and top laner masteries with a jungler who had no smite.

People keep saying you're supposed to carry yourself out of bronze but I'm pretty sure unless you're already high ELO running a smurf or some kind of prodigy it seems pretty much impossible.

I've played 100+ ranked games since this season started and I've not been able to hit Silver. The amount of people playing ranked who probably shouldn't have even graduated from bots is astronomical. I know I'm far from the greatest player but I've spent a lot of time learning different champions, watching LCS, streamers, reading guides, etc. and I just can't seem to climb at all. item 3070

It's not harder. It's just a different game.

Adjust to the pace and you will be out in a couple days

Rankings have been ruined somewhat by Dynamic Queue. I am not really talking about bronze or silver, but ranging from gold-diamond you have people who have been boosted via Dynamic Queue. Now horrible people can get in places they don't belong because they have a group of friends willing to carry them or they literally paid for it.

As for low elo (bronze-silver) the difference between them and higher tier players has grown, and with a newer player base the difference between low elo players themselves may have grown. I know some bronze and silver players and have even played with a lot during my earlier times playing LoL. I actually do think within these two tiers there are big gaps between players. The stereotypical bronze and silver player will have horrible mechanics and not even know how to prioritize objectives. However I think this stereotype is a bit off. As a whole they are generally one sided to what they know. Either they are competent mechanically or they are competent game-knowledge wise. I actually know a player I introduced to the game. I tried to teach him about taking objectives and how to win the game in general. He now is bronze, he knows when to take objectives, and what to prioritize, but what is holding him back is his horrible mechanics. Now I have also seen the opposite. Players who are decent or even good mechanically, but they just play the game like its a death match so they end up losing. What I am trying to say is that the way lower tier players play the game is completely inconsistent. This may make it seem like it is harder to climb.

The game is constantly growing and I would imagine there are even more "inexperienced" players who hop into ranked right away. Partly because Riot reduced the amount of xp neccessary to reach level 30 and partly because there are just so many new players.

It should certainly be no big deal for you though to get out of Bronze if you were Gold before, maybe you are just on an unlucky streak. 1 whole Season without playing obviously set your (muscle) memories back by a fair amount but decision making usually is enough to win Bronze games.

It's harder only because Riot reset everyone really hard so B1 actually use some of last seasons low gold players in it. All the actual bronze players are in B5-3 and there's some silver on 3-1. I've duos with a friend who was silver last season and is struggling in bronze and it's a different monster entirely when I play with her because so many people are just really bad. I'm talking mid lane with 30 CS at 10 on Lux bad. Bronze is officially crazy. Silver is a mess too though. Also new players that got silver and are falling like rocks to bronze are a thing harming it too.

Ranked is more Luck based. Less strategy overall. Basically glorified Normals.

This is honestly a very silly question. Has the chemical make-up of Bronze been changed recently? Not that I know of. Therefor, if Bronze has exactly the same composition as it has always had, then i cannot, I repeat, cannot, change the strength of its atomic bonding.

If you are specifically referring to hardness, then you clearly do not have a solid understanding of Chemistry in the first place. Hardness is defined as the concentrations of calcium and magnesium ions expressed in terms of calcium carbonate. Therefor hardness is not a trait for Bronze.

You really need to read up on your stuff, kiddo!

Lol I stopped trying to climb out of Bronze a while ago. Unless you have a 5-man team that has perfect bans, you're playing purely based on luck. Carrying is a myth nowadays.

I also started playing in S3. S4 got demoted to Bronze. S5 I got sick of playing ranked and the game itself, but played every now and then. Now S6, I got back to the game and have climed form B5 to B2 in I think 3 days or so.

It's become harder for sure. There seem to be a lot of people who are very new to the game just flocking over to Ranked and making it more difficult to pull out wins with any sort of regularity.

Bronze is still bronze. Last season I only achieved Silver 5. This season I got placed in Bronze 4. I climbed out of Bronze in two days.

I'm currently Gold 5. Dynamic Que finally let's me get my roles.

Yes, get good. Time to adapt to a new game since you haven't played as much. I've taken quite the absence of league and barely get like 1 or 3 games through long periods of time and my skills have fallen quite a bit. Yet, i'm not pointing fingers.

The reasons that you stated are not new and are seen in plenty of posts about people who find excuses for not being able to climb out of bronze and how they deserve challenger,

I was gold 3 this past season And right now I'm stuck in silver 4. Strange considering I'm always paired up with some random 4 man pre made full of silver 5s and were against a bunch of golds. Gg rito I love dynamic q.
