How did you climb Elo?
Everyone has there own tips and tricks to raise their elo and climb ranked leaderboards. What do you guys do? I try to be neutral and hold the peace on my team (Sky's DST video is basically what I do)

pick 1 or 2 champs for each role and only play them.
1a) it helps to be able to fill. this way you can give people their best role and also be at least decent at whatever you (often) get stuck with. just all around should improve your chances of winning games more often. besides, what fun would it be to hit diamond or something but only be able to play adc or something and get dumpstered in every other role. you'll obvious find your preferred roles, but just put some time to learning all of them. at least don't get mad if you don't get the spot you want. moreover, things you learn in one role often help you improve other positions. (for example, playing adc is very much all about trading (in lane anyways). support helps you with awareness and warding, also positioning etc.
by playing only 1 or 2 champs per role, you will become very familiar and comfortable with these champs. Then you can focus on and start learning more of the macro tactics that will really help you climb. wave control, map awareness, level spikes, itemization(also your enemies' itemization), objective control, etc. soon, things you never thought of become second nature.
3*) keep the mindset that there is always more to learn. try to learn and improve, rather than being focused on winning. I find this makes games more enjoyable too. Not being attached to the outcome of the game can be surprisingly uplifting and allow you to simply have fun or just learn new tricks. getting outplayed can often bring the immediate reaction of anger. but if u step back from the thinking (fuq this guy he sucks he kileld me), you may actually learn some trick he used on you. next time you won't be fooled, or perhaps you can utilize the trick yourself
sorry this is disorganized. i have little patience for grammar and punctuation anymore
oh i forgot one: don't blame your teammates!!!!!!!! if they are sucking and losing, go help them! unless you're challenger playing with other challengers it's kinda hard to criticize others' mistakes, given that you will have made so many of your own throughout the game, even though they perhaps may not have been the game breaking mistake. this resentment just breeds ill feelings which will infect your own individual gameplay and most likely spread to your team. i have won games where i bitched out my team (in my head, i don't like to be mean to people), and, it was never a satisfying win. id rather lose with some chilling friends then win with a bunch of assholes. your call i guess
Firstly I start at champ select. I generally always fill in support. I can play all lanes with a couple of champs easily and skilfully. Filling means my team get's their desired positions. Already helping me win. Secondly be positive. I mean it. I'm now stuck with the idea of first blood decides the game. If we get first blood I think "GG IZI ty for free win and LP" but nonetheless if they take first blood I think" Yes free win because we now will outscale them in the late because they got FB" XD Sounds crap but I pretty much always win with this mindset. Barring the couple of games where the whole enemy team is legendary and whatnot with 5 drags and baron and 3 inihbs down and open nexus I generally win. Finally think tactical. Oh no!? They are taking drag!! Stop them. Kill jungler or whatever. If you cant try steal and contest. If you just cant contest go kill a tower and make use of the time you have then. Honestly towers give you so much gold and team gold it's OP. And dont forget to ward. I mean it. When I play Janna after about 5-7 minutes in the game drag is already warded. From here I never loose sight of it(constantly replacing the wards) to ensure I always know what's happening with drag. After 20 mins same thing with Baron. It sounds stupid but 20 mins baron has got me wins when we shoulda lost many times. At least 7 or so. And Baron seems lonely so why not? XD As a supp? Protect your team. Ward anything and everything. Dominate. xD As ADC? Farm. Farm and enjoy OP items. One shot lategame. XD As a AP mid? Farm. Roam. Get fed and wreck. As a tank top. Be tanky. Farm up. Late game tank all towers and loose 10 hp from enemy ults. As jung? Farm as you can guess. Gank. Gank LANES! Ganks are broken. You turn up and gg izi kills. If they burn flashes even better. Awesome. Try to ward up whenever possible and keep an eye on what lanes are pushing and what lanes are not. As anyone? UPGRADE TRINKET! HOLY CRAP TRINKET IS OP. Sweeper trinket when upgraded allows so much ward detection its unreal. Scrying orb is broken-gives you free ward and you dont even have to be anywhere near to place it. Your not in danger and still can ward objectives. Upgraded normal wards into pink ward generator= FREE PINK WARDSS FOR ALL <3 Its heaven. Free pinks. Divine. Upgrading it to the other thing=a slightly changed sightstone!? RITO PLS FIX. That's broken. Just with that thing if your whole team buys one you can have 5X3 normals wards plus 5 pinks. 20 wards on the map. GGWP Vision on every single possible bush. GLHF Summoners and hope this helps xD
I destroyed my MMR earlier in the season but I've doubled my KDA and increased my win percentage over 25% since doing the following things:
Watch videos of games I play and figure out what I did good and what I bad (I use SkinSpotlights Replay.)
Watch LCS and see what the pros do differently than me and try to emulate them.
Always Duo-Q with someone you trust (minimizes chance of trolls/feeders/ragers/afkers/etc.)
Always take a break after losing a ranked game, especially a very tough loss.
