I am assuming you are asking because you want to use him competitively, so the answer is no. Some champions have fun kits, and might allow you to do okay in lane, even stomp it. As an example a lot of new players will gravitate towards Teemo. He looks cute, has a simple kit, and is pretty fun but, Teemo isn't going to solo carry a game consistently or contribute much when behind. Yorick is kind of like teemo, interesting kit, simple, allows you to occasionally do good, but won't let you carry the game. Instead you should pick something reliable and something that has a consistent and defined play style. As an example you could pick Xerath, Ziggs, LB, Lux, etc.

yorick is in a very "special" place. he is very hard to learn but if you ever find a really good yorick on the enemy team in the top lane, your team better prepare their anuses for reaming because yorick in very capable hands is a down right nightmare. if you think master yi is bad, oh no you don't know bad till you meet a yorick for the first time. the only reason why yi is worse is cause he is so easy to pick up and learn making alot of people play him.

Absolutely. Yorick once was and still is the King of the Top Lane. There is nothing more terrifying and horrible to face than a good Yorick player top lane.

Yorick once said that his purpose in life is to make top lane want to end theirs, and that's still true.
