by maining Top/Jungle (or would it be better to main a different role to get out of silver)?
I'd like to win in solo queue more often without having to always use Yasuo (Play him Mid/Top) and Wukong (both are my mains) to carry games.
I can try out any champ/play them. If you could give me some strong picks for various roles that'd be absolutely awesome!

If you really want to leave a large impact, I suggest jungling from your two options. As for the jungler, Jarvan and Vi are fairly strong right now overall, are great at early game ganks and have a solid mid-game without falling off hard late. I currently play a lot of Jarvan and have been quite pleased (made the climb to plat using him often, not impressive, but it is a start). In the top lane, unless you run teleport and only use it for the benefit of your teammates, it is unlikely you will make a massive impact early-mid game which would help you reach your goal. It is important to enjoy what you are doing, though, so try to find a champion that is fun for you that can impact the game enough to pick up some slack from your teammates.
TL,DR: Jungling if better to influence the early-mid-game. Jarvan and Vi are two strong champions that can help you reach your goal. Have fun with the game.

In Sillver here myself and climbing out. Recently went from S5 to S3, about to be in promos for S2. I primarily play Support Morgana and ADC Caitlin. Those two champs have kept me around a 70% win rate for the past 20-40 games.
imo, play champions that you're good at and comfortable with because you're going to have to spend more time to learn a new champion and it might not mean that you'll be good with them.
