Don't go AD on an AP champion because of runes and masteries

Today I had a ranked game that consisted of an Caitlyn and Annie.In Champ select they were supposed to trade but Annie dced so they didnt trade ending in Caitlyn taking AP runes and masteries while Annie had AD runes and masteries.Now not a big deal until I saw Annie buying BF sword and vampiric scepter saying because she had AD runes and masteries she could not go AP because it was 'weak'.This just blew my mind we're in shit Silver and you want to go AD Annie just because you have AD runes and masteries.Like just why?Why?Runes and Masteries aren't everything.If you have a kit like Annie's where all your skills are easy to land just build what they scale off of.She then threatened to troll because our Nocturne asked if she was.

Now not gonna act like a saint because I'm not I straight up left the game before 20 minutes probably not the best choice because I was in promos.But please if you have the wrong runes and masteries it's not the end of the world I can deal with it but if you call AP Annie weak because you have AD runes and go AD just because you have AD runes it just blows my mind.Now obviously leaving was not the best choice but if I spent just 3 more minutes with that guy I would have been put on insta tilt.I know I sound like a salty low elo noob who's mad because someone did something different but I can't really change that

I would agree with this 99%. There are rare instances where you would be able to pull this off. (like if it had been Arhi and Kog'maw for instance(Yes, Arhi can make a half decent ADC, HALF decent. She has decent base attack speed, her charm, and her great chase with her ult, but lacks and AD skills. So half decent) but, Agreed with this statement.

Funny story,

One time I had an Annie Mid who took her AD runes and masteries by accident and she just went with it and bought AD items and went like 15-0. This was still back when she outranged almost every champion in the game with her auto attacks. Not that she still doesn't outrange most ADCs with her auto attacks already though.

I know SOME AP champs get some ad runes just so they can last hit easier, it's honestly not a big deal if you get some ad if you're ap, BUT if you're AD and you get ap i think its a much bigger disadvantage unless if you're like varus or you know, the hybrid champs like ez...
