Allow me to throw my hat into the "I hate hextech" posts.

Quite frankly, its the worst addition to any chess game ive played, i stopped at bishop 2 on drodo app (max rank at the time) so ive been around the block.

TFT is the only chess game where good item placement is a MUST, you are literally suppose to choose your champion synergies based off your item rng from the earlier rounds and carousels.

Hextech completely removes a key element from the game far worse than cursed blade ever did. It is also incredibly easy to get 3 early on and remove all items your opponents have entirely until stage 5, allowing you to snowball economy and maintain high hp while preparing for end game. They are literally 5x better at this than bruisers were beforehand.

Can't say im too happy with this addition, tbh, it may even send people back to the other versions.

How to counter hex tech, space out champs, space out items. But they do need a slight nerf. 8 seconds is too long.

Spacing out champions is a punch in the gut to most comps. You leave your weaker units very vulnerable. Spacing out items makes some units worthless. Hell, some units aren't really that good without items regardless. It's just a bad concept. Items are crucial, and this absolutely SHITS on people who don't get a lot of items early.

I mean, they could just tweak the duration 2 Hextechs gives.

They aren’t as autowin as you make them out to be, but they definitely get a lot of value at 2 units compared to 4.

Also, a very useful addition in punishing the stale 1 corner set up

Even if the duration was 1 second I think it completely cancels out locket and zekes.

It may not be auto-win but it is one of those binary effects that just feels awful like silence, stun, shrink, zephyr, phantom, dodge, etc.
