I see people building a 6 noble comp and putting items on Vayne and Lucian instead of their 2* Kayle.
What benefits does placing items on Vayne and Lucian do vs placing items on Kayle? For example, RFC. If you give Kayle a RFC she attacks faster and gains more mana, which means she'll shield more people.
You don't have to wait until late game to use your items? You have a Gunslinger synergy and want Lucian spreading on-hit effects? You were going Rangers and then pivoted to Nobles?
I sometimes hold items on non-noble units like Varus or Tristana FOR Ashe or Draven. But never for Kayle because of how ridiculously rare and she is. Ashe and Draven are better choices for perma-stun and near-instant kills respectively. Plus, you can freeze invulnerable units with Ashe.
Varus is bad because his kit would have him stop his basic attack to use his special in a game where seconds matter.
Because they use items to do damage more effectively than Kayle.
