Every elo gets a border, I think that there should be a way to differentiate the people who actually play ranked vs the people who don't play ranked. Think about it this way, at least us bronze players are brave enough to play ranked knowing that we're not the best out there. Meanwhile the unranked people are too scared to play ranked.

The OP really made sense of it, as allowing players to differentiate between bronzes and those too scared to play ranked.

Bronze people were bronze rank, so they could get a bronze border. All I did to get silver when I first started was play my placements. Had I quit playing, I would have gotten a silver border after 10 games.

Not everyone gets placed in silver though, and I know plenty of trash that gets placed in silver. I've even had a friend who was silver IV last season who really belonged in bronze IV, trust me, I've been in lower bronze, his mechanics and mentality was that of a lower bronze and yet he was placed in silver because he got lucky in his placements, then he never played ranked because he would lose. That's not even me hating on him or anything, plenty of our mutual friends agreed that he didn't belong in Silver. Getting placed in silver doesn't even mean you belong there.

I'm not saying the border itself would be a reward, but by all technicalities it is, since it's called end of season rewards.

The only requirement to get bronze is to play 10 games. you could go 0/200 over those 10 games and guess what, you still get bronze. It's not like I'm putting down bronzies it just requires nothing to get bronze other than playing 10 games.

lmao that is every game on league from blind pick, draft pick to all of rank. and i do know i was bronze before. s4 bronze, s5 silver. but to justify any kind of rewards for being at the bottom is in all honesty giving trophies for being last place. its like doing a race where there are 8 people in the race and typically only the top 3 get medals , the last place guy dont get a medal.
