As a midlaner, I love ganking for bot lane

it's always great to clean up a bot lane fight, and get yourself and your team a bit ahead

Not sure why this got downvoted, but I agree, the chance at a double is always a better investment for me, it's why I also prefer ganking bot or mid as jungle. I don't want to create a Dyrus situation out of my top laner, but larger advantages come from the other lanes typically. Top lane typically looks like farming simulator, due to mostly tanks and that's the more important part, but I'll take a stroll up there from time to time if I see a good opportunity.

Case in point. Ranked game last night. At level 4, mid and jg run down bot. And SHRED me on an oriana and a draven. 4v2'd under tower. Literally happened every 40 seconds from then on in. Mid ran down (and I warded mind you, but we didn't want to abandon the tower and no one was responding to our help pings) and jg quickly followed to the point we had to run for our lives and abandon both towers by level 9 or be killed and still lose the towers.

Anyone who thinks map control isn't > personal KDA and cs is wrong.

My thought is that if Bot lane and top lane is free, bot lane is always worth more gold until they're farmed down to nothing as a value, by that point you should have the tower, and it opens up dragons with ease, plus your bot can then run mid and do the exact same thing to the enemy mid lane.

My goal when I jungle is to always feed whatever lanes I can to obesity. Bot lane ganks gets 3 people gold, where top lane gets 2 people gold unless mid roams up as well. For the first 20 minutes of the game the only objectives up top are kills or top towers, as long as the outer turrets remain up top, top can farm with safety as it's not far back to their own tower.

As a mid laner the exact same points apply. In fact I don't want to take my lane opponent's tower until I'm nice and satisfied with my gold. If I'm sitting fat and happy on top of gold acquired from CS and/or kills, I'm good with taking down that tower and creating more risk for myself in farming, because I'm pretty strong by that point.

You're very right. It's frustrating because a LOT of people don't understand that the mid laner DOESN'T want to topple over the tower until they're good and ready to do so because it means they'll have to over extend to cs more. Really sad that so few people get it and so many think they know what they're doing when they hang bot out to dry and cs in mid thinking a "enemies missing" ping is good enough.

It's all about map control. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING the top players in this game do is about map control. Check out that DGS vs. CLG game. They won in 20 minutes cause they completely controlled the map. Not a single creep was out of place.

That's why in LCS when most towers could be taken much earlier, you don't see them drop often until just shy of 20 min or even afterwards.

You sir, get it.

As long as you do it BEFORE your allies die, I'm all for it as well.

If we die and then you come in, you're the equivalent of a hole in a donkey. >_>

well sometimes I need to. Like if I'm fighting my own enemy in mid, and I notice a double kill bot lane, and both enemies have 100 hp left, hell yeah I'm going to secure them

Doesn't make you not a hole in a donkey. Why no one would help sooner, idk. I've had situations where I'd ping for assist and get left stranded for minutes on end until one or both of us died before a gank comes rolling in. What's the point if you failed to keep the lane pressure balanced/in my favor? As soon as the ganker leaves, my lane's harder because I'm laning against an enemy with a kill over me, while the advantage of a kill on my team has left off into the jungle or back to mid lane (Usually the jungle, to be fair. Mid laners tend to gank when I'm breathing).

Short story: Ganking has gone BAD if you're cleaning up for your allies unless you're planning on camping that lane a bit to even it out. 0:1 in bot lane is still 0:1 when you leave.

but I usually play janitor champions

You can clean up before the fight ends. Like when the enemy's low + your allies are low, but they're STILL ALIVE.

i also gotta watch my own midlane. i only go bot when I realy have to or if there's free stuff there

It's still INFINITELY more beneficial if they don't die. To go after they died is just an attempt at damage control. If you're planning on going at all, you should do it with the greater good of the whole team in mind. Otherwise, just keep your eyes on your lane and ping the jungler to head down bot for you.

Unless your enemy mid laner is stronger and decides to follow you up to bot.. Not like they do that but it COULD happen mehehehehehe
