How did they let Glacial, Cursed Blade and how items drops work get past the balancing of this mode?

It is shocking, how unbalanced item drops are, on top of Cursed Blade being in the game AND with the Glacial effect type outright ruining the game now.

Cursed Blade should be less than a 10% chance to reduce a level of a character.

Items are the most feast or famine type of mechanic I have ever seen in a game ever, good luck dealing with that Gunslinger or Vayne fully equipped out of the arsehole in gear. With a wall of Glacial units in front.

Then there is Glacial, here have a stun effect on your auto attack with no diminishing effect (which can be applied with ranged attacks), who is the moron being paid to come up with this nonsense. Not even mentioning that the majority of Glacial units come as tanky units and with stuns for abilities.

Racials in general are so unbalanced in favor of lucking out and getting a matching set. Team full of Nobles? GG, Yordles? Goodluck trying to hit 6 units with 60% dodge. Games often end with one or two people getting the full set and doing a full wipe in a literal second against the rest of the players, then one of them just gets hard countered by the unit effect.

because they have a "creative vision" and "believe" that what they chose will actually be good for the game. and because of all of that, they refuse to apply simple fixes to GLARING problems, no matter how logical and elegant those fixes are.

I keep getting 3rd and 4th positions because even if I have a better team composition somebody makes several level 3 champions and many more ítems tan me, and then is lost.

Honestly, anybody is going to be able to reach Master because is a matter of luck. Having rankeds in this mode rigth now is laughable.

Bonus points for having team compositions that are total noobtraps since it's imposible winning with them: Knigths, Pirates…

Glacial and Yordles comp may be strong - but none can compare with luck for drops and tons of champs for fast upgrades. Here's an example (quite common - unfortunately) - where i got neither - while that guy was lucky for both (champion upgrades and items drops).

And that was actually a lucky game for me in terms of items drops (in other games i got less than half). Yet, was already beyond mid game and i still had units lvl 1 - even tho i spent around 100 gold Refreshing a new row of champions.

Full Yordles comp, tho...5 champs lvl 2 + 1 lvl 1 vs 5 champions LVL 3.... No chance! 60% dodge rate - didn't mean shit. All my Yodles units died almost instantly.

I dont find glacial too op. About 80% of people who go for it still drop before reaching the critical point. @ late rounds they go 50/50 vs gunslinger blademasters.

Gold Vayne isnt good except early because she is single target but not insane like Draven.

Items almost always even out, I've never seen a huge disparity in the amount of items people have by the krugs or wolves stages of the game.

The effect of Glacials is indeed cancer but the problem with a 6 stack Glacial is they lack a lot of dmg. The only hard hitting unit in the Glacial trait is Volibear and thats only if youre willing to spend a lot of items on him.

A team full of Nobles is more of the same, Fiora is a useless unit outside of the Blademaster comp, Leona is just a CC bot, Kayle is an ult bot that doesnt deal that much dmg and the Noble buff itself is underwhelming in the late game. It's 100 FLAT armor for everybody +35 heal on-hit. 100 armor in the later stages doesnt mean that much and the on hit healing is only decently good on Vayne and Lucian in that comp.

A team full of Yordles is indeed very effective against autoattackers like say Blademasters, Gunslingers or even Glacials. However a 6 Yordle stack will just blow up in front of a 6 Sorcerer stack because they dont dodge spells. Yordles have their own counterplay.

Just played this game:

A guy with level 3 champions and 8 ítems, still with 100 hp, meanwhile I'm seconds with 12 hp, I have to figth him and I end in 5th position. Despite having a team with 6 nobles + 2 rangers + 2 knigths.

I basically lost LP because of bad luck, while another guy have the game already won almost since the beginning.

I can't take this game mode seriously, but I can't wait to see profesionals trying to play this and winning/losing 100% because of luck. I hope Riot doesn't expect to air this like a big e-sport event, because who the hell is going to watch that shit? [sg-lulu]
