Olaf is just soloing at two stars.

I've had the same problem, he absolutely annihilates my team solo handed when I am up against him, but as soon as I try running him I have minimal success, I think the key is he doesn't totally destroy until he is tier 2, and he is popular, so I have had issues landing three of him to level up. Seriously though his kit is so out of control!

Tried Olaf in a 4 glacial zerker comp a while ago, he pretty much melted whenever he tried anything though and he was stacked with rage blade and blood thirster in one and in the other he had rage blade and sword breaker.

Well he has an auto dash at round start which he promptly loses, so probably. You can create a lot of space between your backline and frontline and Olaf just wastes his time autoing a unit like a Warden while your carries focus him.

Granted you need to actually have the damage to kill Olaf but if you're abusing the meta comps they're all obscene damage dealers.

Basically, The fact that he gets an insane amount of attack speed, HEALING, AND CC immunity, is absolutely insane and overloaded, it literally goes against every single comp, at least thats how it feels playing against him. No matter what i've tried building against him, he just powers through everything.

Put attack speed and a bloodthirster and that's about it, every single game i've been in, an olaf comp has been in the top 3, a single unit should not be that strong.

He needs to lose at least one of his buffs, the CC immunity or the life steal are the biggest things to me.

CC immunity, all while if he's in a glacial comp he perma stuns your units into oblivion lol.

I can't seem to pull him off though.

What CC is there to even be concerned about lol

There's like Malphite, Nautilus, Sion, and Nami ults that come to mind. This isn't Set 1 where Cho, Sej, and Gnar would just ult the whole board. Glacial is the most consistent CC in Set 2 and if you're building Olaf you're probably hoarding them.

When you put it in context CC Immunity is pretty crap right now. Quicksilver went from being a great item to almost never used because of this. But yeah his role is to be the carry unit of Berserkers so AS + Lifesteal needs to be good enough for him to survive being a melee unit in an environment where Summoners and Rangers are piling damage on him while being out of his range. He's definitely broken if you high roll an Olaf comp and are ahead of other teams but if the gap is small he's not going to take you to first place. At least not easily.
