An example of why TFT is too luck based for ranked.
I just placed 7th place. At level 9- AKA played the interest system to a T(With a Force of Nature, Secured through intentionally losing the first battles) The player in first place was lvl 7. The rest were a mix of 5's and 6's. None had Force of Natures.
None of these players understood the Interest system. None of these players knew how to strategize into getting the first pick or early pick on the champion select wheel. None of these players knew how to deny a champion. None of these players knew how to do ANYTHING except click champion cards and combine random items into garbage like Ionic Sparks.
Yet, all of these players placed higher than the one person playing the system most efficiently. I easily had double the gold income of the First place player. Easily. And there I am, with no rank3 champions(even tho no one is hoarding what I need). No team composition(Managed to throw together 6/6 assassins in my dying battle). One usable item(Guinsoos) and a bunch of garbage.
Meanwhile, my lvl 5 opponents who have 1/3rd of my gold, and half the units I have on the board have multiple rank3 champions. Of Champions that I intentionally was blocking them from. And I have nothing, while no one is targeting my champion selections.
This is bad RNG tuning. The game mode is currently sitting at like 95% luck and 5% understanding of what you are even doing. For it to be worthy of any kind of ranked mode you need to at the very least tune down RNG for the game mode to be 50% luck/50% strategy.
