An example of why TFT is too luck based for ranked.

I just placed 7th place. At level 9- AKA played the interest system to a T(With a Force of Nature, Secured through intentionally losing the first battles) The player in first place was lvl 7. The rest were a mix of 5's and 6's. None had Force of Natures.

None of these players understood the Interest system. None of these players knew how to strategize into getting the first pick or early pick on the champion select wheel. None of these players knew how to deny a champion. None of these players knew how to do ANYTHING except click champion cards and combine random items into garbage like Ionic Sparks.

Yet, all of these players placed higher than the one person playing the system most efficiently. I easily had double the gold income of the First place player. Easily. And there I am, with no rank3 champions(even tho no one is hoarding what I need). No team composition(Managed to throw together 6/6 assassins in my dying battle). One usable item(Guinsoos) and a bunch of garbage.

Meanwhile, my lvl 5 opponents who have 1/3rd of my gold, and half the units I have on the board have multiple rank3 champions. Of Champions that I intentionally was blocking them from. And I have nothing, while no one is targeting my champion selections.

This is bad RNG tuning. The game mode is currently sitting at like 95% luck and 5% understanding of what you are even doing. For it to be worthy of any kind of ranked mode you need to at the very least tune down RNG for the game mode to be 50% luck/50% strategy.

Due to how consistantly better TFT players have been placing this statement is false unless you think many players just get lucky 99% of the time... claiming they are lucky enough to get lucky consistently.

The game relies a lot of luck especially with the items you can get from the monster stages which can be a huge factor (If you are totally unlucky on items the whole game it's almost impossible to win). Riot will fix items droprates soon so that now you are guaranteed to have a fair share of items.

However the better players wins far more than the unexperienced ones (not top6 but top3). Of course there is luck with items and champions, crits and focus. But if you know how to position and what to build against ennemies comps, if you can adapt the composition you take, if you choose wisely when to play win or loose you will mostly win against a less experienced player. Spamming the same "OP" composition doesn't work everytime, each comp has their weakness and strengths.

I must agree however that some strategies like target taking champions other play feel useless right now and sometimes the rng lategame is pretty rough on the champions you get. I hope they add a mechanic to help out with that somehow. About 3Stars I feel they are not that unbalanced and moreover you can easily play for a T1-T2 champion to 3Stars if you target the right round to hard pick.

You just sound salty, because you got beaten by n00bs. Play it or don't play it. Either is fine. Crying on the forums about poor luck isn't fine. Get better or accept getting beaten by n00bs. That is your choice.

Worst thing that ever happened to this game. The playerbase is shrinking anyway and degenerate modes like tft decimate the league playerbase even more. Its a mode for Pepega people wich have too slow and stupid brains for skill, reactions or anything that needs intelligence, thats why many people defend the RNG part .. because finally they can win a game since their luck just carried them without actually doing anything. Literally every fun mode before tft was 10 times better but hey riot hates when their players are too happy so the nice ones (Urf, Nexus Blitz) get removed after some weeks. Its bascially communism .. make your players happy but just a little because otherwise they start feeling too good and dont need skins or anything for a temporary endorphine boost. Anyway tft is trash and i hope they remove it asap ! this shit doesnt belong to league .. but hey only money counts and little legends etc sell like crazy i guess. Gj rito at least the money is flowing right guys hehe. FeelsWeirdMan
