Just started a few ranked games got placed Iron and looked up a few of my recent opponents on Blitz.gg. All Gold+. WTF, if my MMR is Gold place me Gold at the start but if I am expected to climb out of Iron facing Gold opponents F this I’ll just quit same as Rift due to garbage placements and matchmaking.

That would be awesome. Just need to find a way to beat the 4 other gold+ opponents i am matched with then.

You don't have to beat them all. You start off low, but will gain a lot very quickly. When I was iron, I gained more lp from a 4th place finish than I lost from 8th.
Focus more on consistent play and less on wins.....and never give up even if things don't look like they are going well. Holding on to get a 5th instead of a 7th is meaningful.
